I hang out with chill people. I've hooked up with most of the people in my friend group at least once, just out of mutual curiosity (I'm bi.) When I show interest in a girl and she isn't interested in return, I turn my sights elsewhere and otherwise treat her like normal.

It's not a big deal. Sometimes someone just isn't feeling it. Lack of interest is generally about the other person, not you. They have their own hang ups and preferences. Luckily for me, the quickest cure for a crush is knowing they aren't interested. Instant boner killer.

If I had feelings for someone and they weren't into me I would be polite but I'd avoid them as best as I reasonably could. If I didn't have feelings for them I was just asking them out on a date because I think they're attractive and they said no, I wouldn't give a shit. I'd put them firmly in the acquaintance circle of my life, I wouldn't avoid them or make any effort to be around them.

I'd still be cool with them of course if they were cool with me i guess I'm not sure why it has to be awkward if you're still talking after being rejected. Being rejected is really nbd. I don't ask women out, but in the event I grew a pair and got rejected I'd probably just create some distance. It's hard to maintain a healthy friendship when one person is interested in more and the other isn't, better to back off in that scenario.

I did that before, but after I got "adjusted" I wouldn't really do things that trigger outward verbal rejection. So either succeeding or either staying in that flirting limbo where she soft rejects me but isn't giving me a hard no either.

But when I was hard verbally rejected before I'd just cut contact.

I wouldn’t confess my feelings in the first place. In fact I would never let my feelings develop in the first place if they weren’t romantically interested. Sure, sometimes I got invested before, up through say age 19… but then you learn from your mistakes.

Act completely nice and professional should I ever run into her, just as I would any other person, but otherwise cease all contact and move on. I have never and never would remain "friends" with someone I have romantic interest in.

I never crushed or asked friends or other people's exes out, way too much crap there.

When I got rejected, I simply moved on and never interacted with that person again.

Be strictly business professional, if I have to interact with her at all. If I don't, then ghost and move on. Also, try not to mess with coworkers, because that almost never works out well.

I was heartbroken, she wasn't as friendly, we talked less. I used my willpower to not message her and avoided stalking her online personal. We drifted apart. After a year I was over her and I texted her once in a while. She asked me for help recently to proofread something she wrote. It's nice to be able to stay friends after a rejection.

I'm still learning so I'm not sure how healthy this is but afaik I don't have any residual feelings. I think it's more like we talk once in a few months. I might fall for her again if we become closer friends? I don't know but yeah that's my story.

I'd reduce contact if it started as a healthy friendship and try to move on. If It's not a friendship and I always wanted to date her I cut contact. I don't think she needs me, she probably has many more friends, and I can move on easier and faster.

Well the way I see it..Only a hand full of things to do.. write her off/stay friends. Not as though you’d get that many varied answers since no one would admit to attacking the woman in various ways post rejection. Unless this was a specific subreddit which would be banned swiftly. Now if we were discussing the reverse and it was discussed how to torment and attack men after rejection that would not get banned or quarantined on Reddit possibly.

When I was very young I tended to go too fast, and then I realized that I wasn't even giving her enough time to get to know me, so sometimes I persisted for a while.

BTW, It was a girl who helped me to realize this, and it worked like 50% of the times. Of course I always tried hard to not make her feel uncomfortable.

It depends. If I really cared about her, it’s hard to maintain the friendship the way it was. If serious feelings aren’t involved, probably can restore the status quo. I’ve had this happen in the opposite direction with a girl who feel completely head over heels. She’s still one of my best friends, but it was a tough stretch. I suppose the following is the operative question: is there value and enjoyment in your friendship independent of your desire to date/marry/sleep with the person. Don’t simp!

I have no problem with it. I like that person, I don't need that person. I'd like to remain friends but it tends to be more formal kind of friends, rather than hang out a lot, close personal friends. It's the same when people are interested in me but I don't share their feelings.

I asked out someone at work and she wasn't into it. We remain "work friends" but not close personal friends.

edit: I hate it when women immediately block you when they reject you, but I understand.

Depends on what my relationship with her is like and how the rejection went. If we were cool beforehand, I shoot my shot, she politely rejects me, things won’t really change. I may reach out to her less, or not at all, but no hard feelings.

It serves as motivation for me to live a truly amazing life, as this is the greatest revenge. I post as often as I can pictures on social media about awesome things I’m up to, as well as life/career milestones I achieve. I’ve had a few messages from ex’s having a change of heart, and leaving those on read is the sweetest feeling I know. It truly is a very good motivator to better myself.
