Men on here do bang on about virgins regardless of what they mean, there was literally a post the other day from a guy who said that having a woman who'd had sex with other men was like having a rag many other men had ejaculated on and that she would never be clean.

Now I agree with other posters that men on here who want young inexperienced women are generally insecure, sexless men who are frightened of being compared to other men and frightened of being with women they can't control.

It makes sense that people want age appropriate partners to explore sex and relationships with. The problem is that beyond a certain age a man who hasn't had sex or a relationship is probably deficit in some way perhaps he is neuro diverse, perhaps he is obese, very unattractive, perhaps he has poor hygiene or is just a horrible person. At that point he is both unattractive to women his age and those older and younger than him. He is out of options. If he doubles down on wanting young and inexperienced he just looks like a predator and in many ways he is one, because he isn't seeking to meet an equal to form a relationship with but to find a compliant hole to fuck, that won't give him any trouble or risk his ego by comparing him to other men.

I think there is an element of a desire to control and possibly light pedophilia with men who want virgins. Just like men who like super skinny, pr pubescent looking women or women with no pubic hair. Most virgin girls are underage or just out of High School. I’m a virgin myself, and I find this preference to be a massive red flag. It’s very fetishizing and disrespectful. Being a young virgin doesn’t indicate anything about your personality or sexuality. I am far more open about my sexuality than many other women who aren’t virgins. While I do have all the traits you listed, none of them have to do with my virginity, and they will remain the same after I lose my virginity.

To me that reads more like a list of qualities of a very young woman, not a virgin. I feel like virgins are more likely to be religious, socially inept, ugly, etc than young and without emotional baggage. And the rest of the post reads like “men would prefer virgins but know they can’t get virgins anymore so they will probably be fine with non-promiscuous.”

As someone who lost her virginity late, I can tell you for sure that most men aren't attracted to virgins . Men have ghosted me as soon as I told them about my virginity. And nowadays, being a virgin female is associated with negative qualities: like being religious, prudish, awkward and needing to be taught everything.

The few men who desire virgins tend to be either virgins/ with little experience OR they are tradcons/religious.

The former prefer virgins because they aren't confident in their sex skills and don't want to be compared, the latter see women as objects that get "used up" when they have sex.

Most men past 25 realistically can’t expect to get a virgin, but they would be happy with a woman with qualities anyway.

Yea, I do think men desire women with qualities associated with virginity. Never really heard a man in real life declare that he desires to be with a complete virgin (probably because of how it would come off), they obviously prefer women with little experience, but I’ve heard many dudes claim that their ideal girl would have been deflowered, with 1 or 2 bodies, (men she slept with) at most. I definitely do think a man wanting a virgin is derived from the ego, but ego is an inherent part of man. I myself have a high personal value on being with a virgin, I credit it to my own ego, I don’t see what type of man wouldn’t want to be the person to introduce his woman to pleasure. I imagine that a woman would continually think about the once in a lifetime moment she loses her virginity, and the man who took it, since it’s an important moment. I do realize that the marrying a virgin times are over, so I’m forced to compromise (just slightly), but I do refuse to downplay the idea of being with a virgin just because society takes pain to shame & criticize men who prefer virgin women.

It's very realistic to marry a virgin woman if it's a dealbreaker, especially if you're in a religious community. As per the CDC (linked below), a quarter of 18 - 22 year old females are virgins. Fewer women (and men) are having sex in high school than ever before (also sourced below). Now, if you avoid places like bars and tinder, places known for hookups, the virgin percentage is higher - this is just among the secular community. The odds only get better if you're looking in a conservative religious community where most of the unwed women are virgins, unless they recently converted.
