Over the last decade, we've had a sizable increase in the number of men 18-34 who haven't had sex in the past year. It's increased from 8% in 2008, to between 25-30%, depending on the source you use. It's gone up for women as well, but not nearly to the same degree.

Now I've heard various explanations for this: pornography, obesity, dating apps like Tinder, the economic crash, and I expect they all play a role to various degrees. I suspect the economy and dating apps are the biggest factor, since those are the ones that didn't come into prominence until during the spike of sexless men. The #MeToo movement's been blamed too, but by 2017, the spike was already very apparent.

Say you're a single man in your mid-20s who's never had any luck with finding a date. You hear the usual stuff: "Focus on yourself and it will come" "It'll happen when you stop looking for it." "Learn to love yourself and you will find love." If they're less charitable, you may hear: "Stop whining, you entitled man-baby!" Telling people in this position that they shouldn't care about the lack of romance, affection, and yes, sex, in their lives is a tall order. And those who seen unable to find a partner go looking for answers.

The Red Pill isn't wrong when it talks about traits like physical fitness being important. Looks play a factor, financial success plays a factor. Learning "game", the non-verbal cues crucial to dating, also matter. Not everyone will want to hear this, but even height plays a factor. From my own experience on dating apps, women who refuse to date short guys are a minority, but they are out there.

My issue with it are things like: "If you subscribe to OnlyFans, you're a pathetic loser who deserves to get called out for it!" "If you jack off to porn, you're a loser!" "If you masturbate, you're a loser!" "The majority of men are pathetic Beta Bucks!"

Then there's the attitude of: "Women are entitled harpies who settles for the Beta after riding the cock carousel while still often fucking the alpha on the side!" "Treat women like shit and they'll love you!"

Plus, a lot of them are frauds, portraying themselves as surrounded by women, and all you need to do to have their lives is pay them thousands of dollars for The Secret. Sure, some might be genuine, but there's more than enough BS to overwhelm you. However, if we didn't have a significant population of lonely men, we wouldn't see so many pop out of the woodwork.
