According to Twitter, Apparently Billie Eilish (20) is dating some older singer (31) I’ve never heard of, which means it’s fine for PPDs one millionth age gap thread this week.

A really common talking point brought up to question Age Gap Relationships (AGR) is “what do they even have in common?”. This is asked especially in terms of life stages, like a college student dating a 30 year old a few years into their career.

1.) it doesn’t matter. Who cares?

2.) Equal age relationships can potentially have less in common with each other than AGRs. What does a 30yo painter from Seattle have in common with a 30yo accountant from New York? Probably not much except the desire to be in a relationship. They probably have even less than a 20yo singer has in common with a 30yo singer. Or a 20yo history major has in common with a 30yo high school history teacher. The fact that two thirty year olds both remember tamagotchis and the Clinton administration isn’t that relevant to their relationship compared to hobbies, interests, passions, etc, all of which a 20yo is capable of sharing with a 30yo.
