Guys guys, the level of looks required for women to throw themselves at you is in the 8-10 range most people are not that good looking, when women tell you personality matters they aren't lying most of the people here are 4 or 5 at best a 6 so for them the thing that matters the most is their personality because they don't really have any looks to offer they are average so to stand out they need to be confident.

Yes "chad" has an easier time because what he offers is something that is visual and thus requires no interaction and is high enough and rare enough to be valuable, the truth is people here look at the interactions of someone extremely attractive and think that is the normal thing when he is just an outlier what he does and his personality and confidence don't matter because he offers something else.

Muscular (okay not muscular, but at least fit), Groomed and wearing fitting clothes is something every man should be doing regardless of his aim to impress chicks. These are the basic requirements of a healthy and mature man.

Dad Bod is still tolerable but, even I as a straight man look down on men who don't groom and don't wear proper fitting clothes.

On top of that, being outgoing and a leader is a bonus that girls get impressed with.

Imo, looks are far and away the most important factor for everything. For getting jobs, women, networking, everything.Looks significantly outweigh height, social skills, status, confidence, etc. it outweighs everything for as long as you have it.

The argument that men are obsessed with a females looks but women can settle in exchange for something else like money/status is very deceiving. Physical attraction is wildly important and even if a woman settles on your looks, I promise there will be resentment in the future.

I’m open to people disagreeing but this is by far the topic I have the strongest opinion on.

One thing that gets me is the amount of women on here who claim personality matters more than looks. You then have those same women also complain that there are a significant portion of men they date who don't wash their ass.

No, I don't think personality is as effective as looks for getting a date. I do, though, think there are a significant proportion of women who almost feel guilty about desiring physically attractive men and often end up selling themselves the illusion that ugly motherfucker they're dating has some kind of magically engaging personality.

And it's because of this I don't think I really support neither redpillers/incels or bluepillers/women when it comes to this debate. Ones looks should be more of a factor in dating success and its hardly a terrible thing that women seek out "Chads". At the same time, women shouldn't lie to dudes about the fact that they have eyes too.

I think this is sort of right, but Guy B has to have some sort of confidence to get laid. Like, even if a woman throws herself at him, he has to display some sort of level of confidence for anything to happen. If he seems to neurotic, or seems like he has severely low self esteem, or acts super nervous, or super awkward, or super submissive, or super autistic, she isn’t going to want him for very long, unless she doesn’t mind being more dominant in that situation. Of course if Guy B is like an 8+, as long as he can look someone in the eye when talking, speak normally, and doesn’t say “did you ever wonder if the numbers of deaths in the Holocaust can use some scrutiny?” then he’ll do fine.

That being said, personality and confidence will not make up for your lack of looks. As in, your confidence will not turn you from a 5-6 to a 7 or 8 no matter how much you have; looks are the qualifying factor for you to be considered. When women want to hook up with a guy, he has to pass a looks threshold that is usually higher than her bf threshold. If you don’t meet that threshold, then none of your confidence, or game, or charisma is ever gonna matter. It’s why Guy A can never become Guy B with confidence and personality alone, he hasn’t met the basic qualification first.

This is what people mean when they say it’s looks first, not that personality itself doesn’t matter, it’s that you need looks for it to matter at all.

I somewhat disagree but I consider myself similar to Guy B. Average face, 6'2, athletic build, dresses nice etc. My issue is that I dont have much of a social life which is hurting my chances with women. I get looked at a decent amount when Im out but my social skills arent good enough for me to make a move. I know a decent amount of out of shape guys, dress horrible, hair is gone etc and they have gorgeous wives or girlfriends. I personally believe its more social skills then anything.

even if it's true (you've given me no reasons to think so other than anecdotes which conflict with many of my own)

a guy's league and attractiveness is still less determined by looks than women's (can provide studies if necessary but this should be a given), meaning a guy can be either more or less successful than his looks equivalent based on his performance in other areas. this is especially true in relationships of course (where most sex happens so they should be the main focus), but charisma/game has a big impact on ONS success too. and 2. you still need to pass a minimum social threshold (unless maybe you're exceptionally attractive or wealthy), which many guys who aren't just not at the top but who are at the bottom lack, and this probably becomes more important than looks when you're talking about extreme cases such as virgins into one's late 20s

I went to a liberal arts college. The vast, vast majority of the student body was female, and the majority of these women were 5'7'' to 5'10'' slim and very, very pretty.

Since there were so very few guys around, all it took for any dude to get laid and to get a lot of hot pussy was to not be a fucking midget(under 5'5''), to not be conventionally ugly, and to not be fat, and to have a minimum level of social skills.

Pretty sure that any guy who has to break social skills down into discrete skill sets like "knows what inflection is necessary" is not the social mastermind he thinks he is. People who are naturally more socially adept don't think about their social performance in terms like op's, it would never occur to them to assess and rank their social performance because it's ridiculous. You can't win a social activity, it's supposed to be enjoyable simply to spend time with friends and/or meet new people because humans are social beings.
