Even if it's hidden, the fact that it needs to be done while in the relationship and then hidden is already cringe. I can't even find the word for it. It's just so...abnormal. Not the good kind.

It's normal to have secrets but if you're actively trying to do a whole logical breakdown of your relationship based on discussing the state of dating for men and women, it's just odd.

I'm trying as respectful as possible here but never in any normal life situation are you ever going to see any of this stuff. Yes, I'm sure there's chameleons out there who hide it very well, but the fact that they need to hide it is already indicative that it's an issue.

Like compare it to drugs or gambling. If you have to hide it from your close friends and partners and know that they'll lose respect for you, it's time to question what you're doing. It's one thing if what you're doing is like some fad diet for your health or you have some special habits as your own person. It's eccentric but understandable.

On the other hand, most of these views where you're praised for "being better than others" or being told that "your family and friends will hold you back from the truth" is just a way to isolate you and sell you shit. It's usually why get-rich-quick scammers are so rampant in this space.
