I'm probably more RP, or even MGTOW, but I'd have to admit this has come as a shocker. PPD was probably the one place where both sides can have discourse and be naunced, open minded and friendly. There wasn't even much emphasis on downvotes/upvotes, it was a low-key sub and definitely wasn't incendiary (from what I saw).

There always seems to be some concerted effort against the manosphere, conservative viewpoints, critiques of mainstream media and it's ambassadors, we're supposed to live in a democracy, yet it feels like we're glimpsing into a segregating horizon of the sanctimonious, drowning the content with their tears.

I would advise against creating an evasion sub. Reddit are really strict on those and that sub is almost certainly gone if this one is and the fact that you are creating one could be used as a reason to ban us. (As ban evasion is against the rules and creating that sub is basically conspiracy to ban evasion)

Glad it's back. It's the only place on reddit where all sides are actually exposed to each other. I believe that in and of itself is highly beneficial.

That said, I'm pretty sure it was the post advocating for the complete removal of all rights for women that brought on the ban. There is no place in this day and age for that kind of backwards thinking.

This is going to sound like a joke, but I honestly think PPD serves as an "anchor to humanity" for some of us. In a weird way, even negative social interaction (arguing or hate-reading) is still social interaction. It's fun to deal with everyone here, I guess, in the sense that it's fun to play against a rival sports team.

You want to win, of course, but the intellectual challenge is fun and enlightening in and of itself, and if the sports stadium gets condemned, suddenly you feel like a part of your life and identity is lost, even though it's "just a sport", even though you have other things in life than sports. Even your "enemies", the rival teams, were still part of your community and social life in some way.

PPD is also a place that's basically an anti-echo chamber: you will have your ideas challenged, and there will be someone incredibly smart or incredibly stupid who will say something you weren't expecting.

When I thought we were gone for good, I felt something truly important was lost.
