I’m open to being convinced that this isn’t the case, but has generally rang true for me. I didn’t have trouble getting dates or a long term relationship while I was in high school and university, but have found it really hard to meet someone as an adult in the working world.

During high school you are surrounded by people of the same age range as you and there are generally parties you can go to to meet someone else. As a working adult I’m mostly surrounded by middle-aged men, and regardless I’m hesitant to pursue someone that I work with in case it goes south.

Now that I am in my thirties, Im not really part of a partying culture anymore so the only place it seems to meet women is on dating apps. Dating apps have not worked for me at all, after 20-25 dates over the last few years only one lasted a bit, and even that one didn’t work out after a month.

I feel that if I were in high school or university right now I’d have much better success. Or even in an industry with a lot more women in it.

Im open to changing my mind about this, but it seems to be the case.
