So I was watching a sketch video (will try to find the link) that went like this:

A man goes to a woman and says he think they should end their situation because he wants to keep it 100% casual and doesn't feel she does too. The woman replies "yeah I do but..." and she proceeds to list of increasingly non-casual request which the man agrees to like:

  1. Before we hook up I want you to take me out for food
  2. on the day we don't meet you should text me and see how I am
  3. if im moving you should be willing to help out
  4. if you see any other women you have to tell me
  5. You have to be open to possibly moving in together in the future

Now obviously this is meant for humor but in all humor there's truth and I've experienced this mutliple times as well. After the first time it happened I actually started verifying with women what they wanted from our relationship and whether it was just casual to which they replied it was but then later complain about feeling like I was treating the relationship casually.

So pretty much my question for all is in the title. Do women use casual sex as a way to work towards a relationship in hopes they can trick a man into getting feelings? Or do men and women just have different understandings of what it means to be casual?
