Men don't need to be protected. It is assumed that we can fight for ourselves and any time we ask someone else to fight for us it is looked upon as a weakness. Women however aren't just allowed to be weak, but they are expected to be so. Women are put in the same category as children. Women and children first and all that.

Women are constantly in need of protection. Everything that happens to them is someone else's fault and of no blame to themselves. They could walk around drunk and naked and it wouldn't be any fault of theirs if something happened to them. Women's feelings are like a national treasure or something. We do everything in our power to protect those feelings even if we lose good men in the process.

So when a fat woman walks around fat as fuck with no inclination to stop being a fatty everyone has to come to the rescue. We have to attempt to warp reality to buffer them from the realization that being a fat fuck is pathetic. No one will do that to a man because no one fucking cares. No one cares about us. Our feelings are about as protected as pigs in a butcher shop. Some people fight for us but they are seen as crazy.

Karen Straughan has some really good videos on this. The main point being that men need to prove they are useful to be valuable.

Women feel they are valuable just because they exist.

Let us basically treat that as the starting point. So we know why we all think the way we do. A fat woman is still going to think she's valuable just because she exists. A fat man is going to think he is useless.

She also says that as men need to prove their worth, we are always competing with other men and so we don't just form alliances with men just because they're men. We need a common goal or purpose or something.

Whereas women can form bonds with women solely on the basis that they're other women. They can have nothing in common with them, but still bond. More importantly, they value belonging, so they belong to the women's tribe and thus will support those in that tribe.

So we see that women will support the fat acceptance movement for women.

Now men, we don't have a fat acceptance movement for me.

We like to be useful and prove our worth. A fat lazy man is not something we want to support.
We don't support our fellow man just because they're a man.

Should we get upset that feminists try to improve the lot of women and not apply the fat acceptance movement to men? Meh, why get angry? All you really need to do is let the babies be babies and not deal with them and make sure they get their dose of reality. At best, make sure the reigns of power don't go to reward these people.

If you really want fat acceptance for men, then support your fellow man :P But we're not really going to do that. We have higher expectations and we know society will go to shit if we lowered our expectations and accepted everything as is.

And yes society doesn't give a shit about men. But more importantly, men don't give a shit about men. And how can we expect women to give a shit about men, if men don't give a shit about men. This is especialyl true of feminists who we know work against men constantly. We don't have a right to fckin complain.

One way to be a man is to not cry about things that you can't change, and it's hilarious to think that anyone can force social acceptance of things like height and body weight. We like tall thin muscular people and see them as ideal. It doesn't mean you're finished if you aren't 6", it means you need to not care about it because it really isn't a big deal.

Body language, posture, gestures, eye contact, projecting your voice - master these and let's see if you have issues. Master though.

If we put a fat girl in front of a guy and yelled at him to find her attractive, and he didn't to begin with, would he over time? Maybe as a result of isolation and options, but not because our species likes signs of bad health or less desirable qualities in people.

Think of it like this - who would ask to be shorter? Not many people. But this is something you have to work with that you can't change, like being bald, having a clubbed foot, a third arm, whatever. This movement on TRP to discuss the harrows of being short should focus efforts on other attributes.

Likewise, there has been an explosion in the use of the word 'bear' to decribe big, hairy guys and I'm sure some of that is just to show the world that such guys shouldnt be embarrassed about their appearance and to go on with lving life.

These fat acceptance movements are all a load or horse shit.

Sure they are fat and I accept that as does the rest of society. There may be a minor part of community which is hostile towards them but that is really minor.

Where they are trying to get acceptance is so people can find them attractive and that is never going to happen. They are just wasting their time. Now I like curves myself and a few extra kilos but there is a big difference between that and fat/obese. It is extremely rare I have seen a girl that is big and sexy and there is a point where the extra weight distorts anyone into being ugly as fuck.

Even the most tolerant of people is going to think "Fucking fat bitch" if you are stuck behind them on a footpath or something. The second you start interfering with other peoples lives you can expect hostile reactions. I can't just sit my ass down in the middle of a footpath without getting abused so why do they think they should be treated any differently?

Honestly I think there is no male fat acceptance movement because, as a fat guy I've noticed thats whats held me back more than my weight is a lack of confidence caused by my weight, and not so much how other people perceive me and treat me. Its a confidence issue cause by my own insecurities, its almost all coming from inside. Bitches look at me, and they smile and flip their hair, prettier women than I'd expect too. They pass me the ball, they invite me to play, and often I just drop the ball because I'm down on myself. I doubt I'm the only at guy having this experience. Its just a matter of being self aware and honest enough to recognize the problem and address it openly. Its not them, Its you. While your weight is part of the problem, its not the bottom line. We see here plenty of fat guys who lose weight and still lack the confidence to be successful with women. And we do ocassionally see fat guys who are not apparently wealthy, with women an observer would be considered to be out of their league.

Thinking on it a bit more now, every sitcom with a middle aged fat oaf with a shitty job and a bangin wife is a male fat acceptance advert.

I agree that society (US mainland) certainly treats people with different traits differently, which means that many people end up being treated more poorly than others based on physical and mental characteristics.

Being on the short end of the stick (haha), I think that a reform to society is in fair order. Rather than having a discriminatory society, we should have a non-discriminatory society, which is good for me. It seems logical to say that nearly every single human faces discrimination in the some form or another, so it would be in our best interest to move society in this progressive direction.
