I had this situation recently - at a wedding out of town and met a girl. Hit it off, was hoping to hook up with her that night, but got separated after ending with a k-close.

We met up for drinks the next night and things seemed to be going well. But when the night ended and I asked to go back to her place, she was offended. Apparently she thought things were going to lead to something more long-term. I was only looking for a one night stand.

So my question is: how do you drop hints on a date that you're only interested in a one night stand?

Today I did some shopping at some outlet malls. The entire time I said to myself, "Okay, there's a target go after her." I kept avoiding every single target. I said to myself okay fuck it. Go into that Sunglass shop and hit on this girl now. (HB7) I went in and made small talk and such about the sunglasses and how many pairs blah blah etc etc. cracked some jokes.

Then said to her, "I don't really need sunglasses, I just thought you were cute and had to meet you." Hand shake direct eye contact slight smirk. Then I asked her what she was doing after work for the Insta-date and AT FIRST she said, "Oh I don't really have a whole lot of time to hang out and all and I work late." I said, "That's cool I can get your number and we can hang out later on then." Then she shifted to I have a boyfriend and I said back to her, "That's fine he can come with us." she gives me a genuine laugh not a (You're a customer laugh). She says, " I don't think he would like that at all." I say, " He can chauffeur us around with a grin." She says, " he definitely wouldn't like that and chuckles. After that I say, "Well alright then I'll catch you later." I walked out of the store with my head higher then before and anxiety went away. I FELT AWESOME FROM GETTING REJECTED. To all the guys out there. Getting rejected is awesome you learn a lot about yourself. KEEP TRYING!

So Seddit, What did I do wrong in that situation how could I have kept it going and what are some tips for me in the future?

I have a fairly good memory, so I often will remember girls and some details about them even after a long time has passed and they more than likely no longer remember me. What should I do when I come across them again, call them by name or pretend that I forgot? It feels a bit embarrassing when I remember someone's name that was only a casual acquaintance 6 years ago, as if I've been secretly stalking them this whole time or something.

What's the typical sedditors opinion about "bucket lists", as in having goals like banging a certain type or being in a threesome? I have two dates this weekend that I think I could f-close if I really want to. Being a late bloomer and only truly building my confidence in the last couple years my motivation is simply to be able to say that I got two women in one weekend. How do I set a date up for a specific day in case she's busy and not seem like a loser that has both weekend days available?

Recently I said lets hang on friday (I was free saturday too) and she said she was busy. Should I have said "how does saturday work?" I'm then asking for permission and look weaker and going along with her schedule and while having nothing to do for the weekend.

The same thing happened a few weeks later (she has a tight group of friends).

So I was on a family vacation and my mom knows some people there. A couple of the kids of my mom's friend took my sister and I out. It was me, my sister, and this girl and her brother. Me and the girl had great chemistry and we were laughing a lot, etc. But I didn't feel comfortable escalating kino because her brother and my sister were right there. We had our bodies pressed against each other almost the whole night at various bars, and we were sitting next to each other the whole time.

When I talk to girls, I always seem to have a problem in keeping the conversation going. We would talking about something for a minute then it would be absolute silence for a few more and I would keep on trying to keep the conversation alive by talking about something else.

Is it possible to become desensitized to ... having sex/women? I am lurking in here and I see that the PUA gurus claim to be sleeping with at least 1-2 at times 3 new different women every week, on average that's 50-100 women per year, after 10 years like that it's 500 to 1,000 women.

I can see how that can happen, because of becoming desensitized because the final act is not that different than the process to get there, and the act per se is also shorter in time and requires less skills than the process itself. In one sentence I can see how it would turn into a the hunt is more fun than the prey type of syndrome.

Is that the case?

Background: Went to get some clothes fitted and there was cute girl there. I go pick them up a week later and lady behind the desk says she left her number for me (fuck yeah)

Text her, build a bit of rapport and setup a date for Saturday afternoon. It was only a coffee date as I just wanted to meet her and make sure she was cute like I remember (she was) so it ended in in no f, or k close. Date went well, and she said we should do this again.

I'm 17 and on a special needs program at my high school due to a neurological condition that I have. One of the effects of my condition is that the usual structured high school experience is too much for my brain to handle, so I stay at home and do all my schoolwork from here. I still function extremely well in social situations, however, and I used to be a somewhat popular guy prior to my condition getting as bad as it is now.

The thing is, I'm totally cut off from all sources of women that I know of. I can't drive, so the only time I'm able to leave the house is for doctor/therapist appointments every week or so. I'm also too young (at least until my next birthday) for most dating sites, so those are out of the question. I'm not starved for romance or sex or anything - I've gotten used to the isolation over time - but I would like some advice as to what I could do if I were to want to pursue something like that, because I can't think of anything.

Mine isn't all too complicated but here's a small backstory for context:

I'm an acquaintance of this girl who is friends with some people on my floor in my college dorm. I talked to her incredibly briefly in a party setting (I was high, so yeah I kind of fucked up the first impressions thing but it's okay because we didn't exchange names and I doubt she remembers the conversation since it was rather banal,) and after that didn't see her until I go to a Roosevelt Institute (college thinktank) meeting and lo and behold there she is. Like an idiot I didn't say anything to her and this was the one time I went because I didn't make the next meeting and after that were finals.

Now it's second semester and she's in my french class. Great, this will work, only like a complete idiot I didn't say anything to her on the first day. Second day of class I catch her afterwards and say, "Hey Anonymous, I don't know if you remember me but I was at the one Roosevelt meeting and I wanted to ask if you know when the next one is?" She says she'd let me know and it sounded genuine, but like a fucking complete idiot I didn't follow up and keep talking.

So I have a day in between until I see her again, what's a good way of reintroducing myself in a way that doesn't come across as stalkerish or pathetic?
