“Looks” content when discussed in manosphere spaces like this sub tend to very easily devolve into “woe is me” black pill fatalism, “incel” ranting, heinous speech that breaks Reddit TOS, and explicit obnoxious racism.

This sub is already under a microscope because it and its posters are provocative. There are off the wall/vile comments and OPs regularly reported to mods due to the nature of this sub’s content and the types of people who post here. It’s the reality. If we didn’t moderate certain topics within reason we’d be quarantined or shut down immediately (and justifiably so) like the other subs that became 4chan style circle jerk cesspools.

Find a way a way to critically discuss what you want to debate within the sub’s and Reddit’s rules.

Looks influence how high up the desirability ladder you can reach for a partner and how your personality traits are received, it's not about what strategy you should pick. The strategy is inherently given by your personality. In fact, your personality IS an outgrowth of your mating strategy. And trying to play the META while you don't have the required personality, is not going to work out.

If I understand correctly, the powers that be at Reddit don't want blackpill/incel content anywhere. The mods here seem to be following that edict.

I would prefer that looks be allowed in some discussions, but that would take so much moderation and frequent (constant) excising of BP/Incel stuff that it would be untenable. So here we are.

But I also think you may be off base in your assertion regarding strategies. For men, who we're really talking about, the exceptionally attractive among us who have even OK social skills don't need much of a strategy. Really unfortunate looking men need more than a forum like this can probably offer.

But the rest of us, 70-80% of us, fall between those extremes and have similar enough successes and face similar enough challenges that typical advice has some value. It's up to the person seeking advice to be self aware and focus on the advice that seems most relevant to them, but people in that 70-80% should be able to do that.

Sure. One thing pointed out by men is that average women get the same attention as a HMV man from opposite sex and also more attention than an average man. The comparison here is average and not conventionally attractive.

The problem with Looks conversations is that they just have nothing to talk about. There's nowhere to go with that discussion except circle-jerking. I can see the mods not wanting that for a sub specifically about conversation.

Modding is about keeping a community alive and functional.

Some topics devolve into cesspools that might kill the community because of terms of service (race related)

Some topics take over the discussions and make everything monotone and boring to the point of reducing engagement (lookism, woe is me)

This community is absurdly long lived considering the topic of conversation so I am siding with the mods here.

There are other subs to discuss looks.

Looks can definitely give you an edge, but a lot of this falls apart because half of these hella vocal incel dudes fixating on their wrist width are totally normal looking dudes that have convinced themselves they're ugly.

A huge portion of these dudes that think their chances of dating are over because they're 5'6" are also dudes that rarely approach women/ are bad at socializing.

You will never get them to take looks seriously until men leave the basements, jobmax, looksmax, quit videogames, get their mental health great - all that.

It's undeniable that there's so much the average male can do before you get down to immovable bone structure and height etc.

I agree the "Men are this and women are that" posts are fucking terrible though. Useless threads put up by butthurt red pillers desperately trying to keep their ideology alive when increasingly nobody cares.

But at the same time, there is no point in acknowledging levels of looks in every discussion because it's always going to be the same.

good looking - easy to get dates
mid looking - subject to all the problems of the dating world
unfortunate looking - sorry. SOL. solving the problems of the dating world will not solve YOUR problems. for you to get dates, we have go back to a pre mass comm era where people pretty much married whoever was in the vacinity

Your attractiveness certainly matters but it impacts your standards more than your dating policy.

For example if I was more attractive my strategy still remains the same: meeting women on apps or in public, trying to find common ground with a woman when im dating her, etc.

The only thing that changes significantly is the type of women considered "in my radar" or not. So that affects the outcome of what women I get with but the core dating strategy is unchanged.

Of course, being extra attractive gives you a larger amount of options. But again, does my strategy change?

If lookism were allowed, then just allow it in it's ultimate form: Force everyone to post their pics or at least post their photofeeler ratings. Then we can just shut down any woman's argument if she's under a 7 because honestly I don't care about their opinion anyways.
