This would suggest that men in America are overall way more attractive than women, but it doesn't seem to be true. Obesity rates for men are actually higher - so most likely huge group of women is dating guys who are out of shape. Maybe European men being more fit on average make impression of abundance - but women are fit as well. Btw - women in Europe are far from petite, majority of young women here are tall and rather of strong build.

As a European guy i originally was very surprised to see what the "normal" body was to Americans because it was clearly what we consider fat here.

So i guess i only like American women that are considered "fit" in America since it's the normal body here...in the same vein i see most Asian women from East Asia as too skinny and all i want to do is give them food because they look so hungry to me T-T

Most women aren't thinking about "leagues" at all. They're just normal human beings who, when they see a man they find attractive, they think "wow, he's attractive, it'd be awesome if I could date an attractive man like that."

This whole "league" thing, where you're only allowed to date people as ugly as you are is not how attraction works.

Even ugly people are attracted to attractive people.

Women don’t think about leagues. They’re more focused on learning to manipulate their appearance to attract what they’re aiming for. This ability is very unique to them, and there’s not much reason why they shouldn’t take advantage of it. With a little makeup, a pretty hairstyle, a slim/curvy figure, and a little black dress, a 5 can easily transform into a strong 7 pushing 8.

People, on average, see themselves as more attractive than they really are. That is good though. Slightly shooting above your own attractiveness level because you think this is who you match up with, is beneficial in evolutionary terms. It works from time to time and the negatives of getting a higher rejection rate is bearable. On average, we shoot 25% over our own desirability, when contacting others for dating. Most often, we do end up with people IN our league, rather than slightly above our league.

Men and women shoot above their league (the interval around your own desirability. The point where you start really dropping off in considering a person at the lower end, is likely also the desirability gap to apply to other direction, to the upper end).

So no, overweight women do not see themselves in the league of gym bros. They see themselves slightly more desirable than they are, but not completely delusional. The highest focus on contacting others for dating purposes is to people with the same desirability.

Do this experiment. Go to a sub like r/Hingeapp or r/Bumble and filter out by any post that mentions “Profile review: haven’t had a match in X months”. Pick at least 10 profiles and compare them all with each other. See if you can spot the similarities.

The higher percentage of fat and obese women in society, the more men are forced to date them / fuck them unless they want to stay single or sexless. Tbf America has its own fair share of fat or totally out of shape men as well. But if you’d put an average American female in her late 20s for example to northern Italy, where (at least from my point of view) the women are the most in shape you’ll ever see in a predominantly Caucasian society, her value would drastically decrease. I saw a lot of American women on Tinder in various European states and it was quite funny to read through some of the arrogant bios where these women thought that because of pussy inflation they are a super catch.

I’ve said it before and I’ll said it again: the real reason for body positivity and claiming 5’5 and 200 lbs for a woman in her 20s is normal is that these women know it’s a disadvantage. But instead of making the effort to lose 60 pounds they want to create an environment where so many women will be overweight that a slim chick will be a scarcity even for solid looking dudes and they will be forced to accept the fat ones. Remember this every time you see some bimbo talking on a podcast, how men preferring slim curvy women is a “social construct” and “healthy diet is that where you don’t starve”.

I’m someone “in shape”

And I view “thicc” women at the highest standard/peak

This MAY because I’m focused solely on sexual attraction

And I’ve personally seen skinny women with no curves naked

And to me it’s very clear which is more aesthetically pleasing.

I will admit that with clothes skinny women can look “cute”

But the clothing is hiding the truth of the situation

Where as thicc women look “sexy” with clothing
