I’m 37, got divorced last year and just starting to date again. I have it set to 20-29 and don’t care if you judge me.

The 20 year olds just want to learn. They’re great and a lot of fun.

The 25-29 year olds are potential partners.

Being in the best shape of my life and a good looking guy helps here.

The formula is your multiple your age by 2 and realize that you only live once and date who you want to. I got divorced and turned down some younger women but there is so much to learn and experience from all types of women if they like to for the right reasons.

Half your age + 7 is the magic formula.

But in general mid 30s to mid 40s.

Most early 30s still want kids.

Late 40s have too many wrinkles for my liking.

Date all of them! Stick with ones you enjoy being around. Like genuinely and not to impress friends. There is nothing more attractive to a man than feeling deeply desired by an attractive woman. Younger ones haven’t been burned as bunch , but they can be immature. Older ones have had their heart broken a few times and may be bitter. But in all honestly if you saw the same woman in a bikini at 45 and at 25, one is gonna be a lot more attractive to look at and their personalities won’t be that different.

Date women you are attracted to and who are attracted to you. Learn to spot crazy and avoid them like the plague.

Wasn’t searching for a younger person but i started talking to a friend who was 14 years younger who was also experiencing going through a divorce. The 14 year age difference hasn’t really affected us. I’m lucky and probably a unique case. I would say for your age probably only do 8-14 years younger.

i never got in the market (found an old gf to hook up with) but my buddy…he was a hound on the apps. when he was 59-60ish he did tell me that women under 50 didn’t give him a second glance and he wasn’t a bad looking guy. super fit and healthy.

20 - death. All of these ideas, rules, and suggestions are just to git into external societal norms or approval. Who cares what others think or about externals. If you are both consenting adults and want to be together, then it's OK.

Do not modify your life to try to appease other people that you have never meant and don't care about. You have to live your life, they aren't living it.

Age Alan dating aside. I get a lot of crap from strangers and family about some of my post divorce choices: buying a home, travel, various toys, saving, etc. Some are trying to help, and others are just judgemental. It's best to just smile and say thanks, then make the choices to live your best life!

I have done a few years older and the latest was 5 years younger. Both did not work out, because of baggage on their side and that is the key. I think the older you get the more baggage and inflexibility you get.

I genuinely thought the one that just ended was one worthy of trying and then something about the ex. Unexpectedly re something. I am flipped out because of my own feelings x, blah, blah, and now I need to work on myself. So you get that shit. Going very well. But baggage.

More than 10 years looks like she is banging a sugar daddy and you are creep. I really enjoy peace and freedom and dont miss the womans presence and transactional intimacy (do what she nags and bitches about or you get nothing in the bedroom).

Dating, sounds horrible! I'll stick to this bliss of regained freedom. Never surrender the do what you want, who you want, when you want; if you stay in the "who you want lane too long" it's dating-Avoid this lane, it interferes with the "What you want, When you want!" The math doesn't math.

I’ve met ladies IRL and it seems most of the ones inside 10 years are interested.

I would be open to a lady in her mid-late 30’s but generally expect to need someone inside 10 years to have the same, uh, touch points. You know. Culturally and whatnot.

To have expectations real, it’s probably within 10 years of your age. To go much younger, you need to be exceptionally good looking or lead with money.

Personally, and we are in the same ballpark age wise, I went 10 years younger. I would not want to date someone younger than that. Ended up with someone 7 years younger than me.
