Bottom line the majority of women don't show themselves just for the sake of it, unless it's promotion. The "free" videos on the hub are just that. It's either a snippet from a big studio, or snippet from an independent person that links to their OF. If you do see full collections of videos, odds are someone paid the site, ripped it and uploaded it themselves (not all the time but most the time).

With OF gaining popularity, less women are going the big studio route when they can make videos from their homes and get paid more. A lot of traditional pornstars also have OF as well, and start to make more content there because it's more lucrative. The people who follow them aren't necessarily doing so because they want to know their inner most thoughts and likes. You can just follow them and DM them on Twitter for that. They're likely doing it because they want to see more of their bare ass and tricks.

So yeah I believe the further we go along, the further the line is blurred. I will imagine that in 10-20 years the well that big porn studios built will dry, less compensations means women will no longer be interested in working for them, and the majority of porn on the internet will be self made. The only difference is between which site you pay. Or the source of the siterip if you find the content online for "free"

I used to be very critical of the guys who paid for OF. But now I sorta get it. It's like farm-to-table porn. You know where the thing you are consuming comes from. I noticed that I would watch porn and then the next day not remember what I had watched. Like how many people can't remember what they ate for dinner the previous day. Not that it matters, probly, but it seems extra vacuous to be masturbating to something and have zero mindfulness about it. So I've been trying to pay more attention to the things I pay attention to lately, and when I see a laudable porn performance I make note of it and think "thank you madam, I hope you were compensated well for that. I'd buy you a drink if we ever met." So I kinda get OF more now. Not that I'd ever pay for it, because I am a broke ass man, but I'm more sympathetic.

Seen in that light, it doesn't give me the "ick" so much, but of course your mileage will vary. And I have no idea how much these guys spend, but I've heard about some dudes spending thousands, which is ridiculous. Probably any amount over 10 bucks is entering the realms of the absurd. But who knows. You only have one life to live, maybe those guys feel they got value for every penny.

I would think that some women might like it as proof that the man doesn't objectify as much. From what I've read, women don't like being objectified, and forming a one-sided relationship with an OF model is less evidence of a man desiring to objectify than him watching porn and therefore thinking all that women are good for is their bodies.

So either way, men can't seem to win. If men were all masturbating to erotic stories all the time like some women do on occasion, I'm sure that women would find something wrong with that too.

I understand your logic and think you raise some very valid concerns, but I do think there should be some discretion to the level which one engages with OF before writing them off.

If a guy habitually uses OF in the way you explain, where they are seeking out emotional connection and have alot of personal engagement with an OF girl, then yes, huge red flag. But some of us guys are just suckers. We come across an internet personality or see an attractive women in a space we interact with (Twitch, YouTube, Reddit, instagram, social media, cable tv, message boards, etc) and then find out there are some nude pictures availble on OF and we just have to see them. We are highly sensitive to visual stimulation and some content is exclusive just on OF and nowhere else. We still aren't really looking for an emotional connection. Just a quick look, then the infatuation runs off, then we let the subscription expire.

But once in a relationship, then I think it is valid to ask a guy not to engage anymore with OF and have it as a non negotiable once the relationship starts.

I think OF is way better than regular porn because it tends to be more ethical. By ethical I mean consent conversations and aftercare are included in each video, my intuition doesn’t tell me someone isn’t happy, actors are checking in with each other, you know hot shit like that.

There is some really gross porn out there, and I don’t want my partner expecting those things of me. If I were so insecure that I’m threatened by an online personality who my partner will NEVER meet irl, then my relationship is fucked. There is no security in an attachment like that, love and fear are like oil and water etc.
