When I friendzone women I try to tell them that we are not compateable as partners I try to givs them the exucuse about age gap, personality, they deserve someone better or that theyre much better looking. Instead of getting the clue we aint gonna work out, they try to convince me thats not true and try to pursue further. Also if they pretend to accept being friendzones they try to flirt and will say "we are just friends , its not serious". This is exactly how men deal with indirect rejection.

I do this because from my own experience rejecting women directly will cause them to be angry, extremely sad or bitter towards you. Like with men.

This is mainly about average and above average women.

Very Attractive and below average women usually are okay with rejection.

A number of times I been a target of gossiping and calling me by woman - slur word for homosexual man - just because plain ignored that or other woman showing interest in me. A lot of internet women picture themselves saint and morally superior to men, but in real world average woman is as shallow, selfish and entitled as average man. Simply put normally people just suck, both gender.

Yeah. When I’m rejected I either say nothing or a short goodbye text, with the occasional internal thought of “maybe I should ask her why she thought we didn’t mesh” which I never act on. But when I reject women and don’t choose to immediately block after doing so, there’s always some sort of surprise, pleading, or in depth questioning of why I made the decision and its validity.

One time I even sensed in advance that a woman I was selling something to online was going to ask me out and I told her not to because my head wasn’t there, and she still did and was surprised at the resulting rejection.

I hate the feeling of being rejected as much as the next person, but realize it’s a fact of life and no one likes being on either end (even if it is easier to reject than be rejected).

A few reasons women might take it worse could be:

-being rejected less or never makes it sting harder

-a stronger belief in their abilities of persuasion. It’s one thing to try persuade someone who’s on the fence, it’s another to try it with someone who’s given you a firm no

-possible sexist views of men as “down for anything at all times” makes them feel like scum because if a “sex-crazed pig” (man) isn’t dtf, she must be truly horrendous in all ways as a “person” (woman)

I do feel talks about the friend zone have evolved significantly over the years to include the fact that it does affect women. But it's more than that: it is a bit of selfishness involved where you want to regulate that person as "just a friend."

That's why I'm pro Move On. I've been on plenty of dates this year alone where things didn't work out. I didn't want to be friends with any of them lol. They didn't even match me on that level either. Rejection sucks, but it is necessary. You will find someone else, but lingering on someone where it won't work out is a huge ass waste of time and energy that could be going to people that actually want you in their lives.

I don’t see guys do this as often but maybe that’s just me. There’s the sex only zone for sure, but a girl wants to be more and a guy just being like nahhhh let’s just be platonic friends??? I’ve never see that unless the guy has a girlfriend already.

I do agree women are just as bad if not worse about handling rejection tho. I think they’re less used to hearing someone say no so that may be part of it. The amount of times I’ve been called gay(usually with the F slur) cause I turned a woman down is ridiculous. Insults definitely get to flying the moment you have the audacity to say no to a woman’s advance. But that’s just is what it is rejection is hard I was way worse about it before I wasn’t used to it to so it’s whatever fr.

Sure I’ve been friend zoned and was devestated. Cried alone in my room and spent a couple weeks being depressed. Then moved on…I didn’t make it his problem, we still got along and were fine among mutual friends. We weren’t as close after but we were still friends. I didn’t decide he was a horrible human because he didn’t want to date me.

The term "friend zone" used to mean more than just rejecting a friend. It used to be more about the fact that many (not all) women will lose interest in a man who she initially found attractive if he becomes her friend and gets to know her first. So if he asked her out early when they just met she would have said yes, but after they become friends she rejects him because she wants a manlier man who would have been more bold and assertive, and who doesn't care about getting to know a woman first. It's not just a woman rejecting an ugly man who is her friend, she's rejecting even attractive men specifically because he became her friend first which makes her think of him as less manly. Men kind of work the opposite way in that a lot of men become more attracted to women after we become friends, so women weren't really being friend zoned as the term originally was used.

But putting that aside, yeah, men and women both don't actually like being friends with someone who rejected them. And women can react very badly to rejection. The only reason there are more examples of men reacting badly to rejection is because men get rejected more. A lot of false rape accusations happen because the man rejected the woman. The Rolling Stone rape hoax was because the woman's male friend rejected her so she made up a rape story to get sympathy from him.

Of course, nobody likes rejection. It just happens less this way because men are not as likely to befriend a woman they don’t want more than friendship with. Women are generally more open to being just friends with a man.

Now I don’t agree that continuing to be friends with someone you rejected (which they also must choose) is “emotional abuse and exploitation.” Usually it doesn’t work out, and there’s nothing wrong with ending a friendship with someone who rejected you, but come on now. That’s kind of insulting to people who have actually been in abusive relationships.

100% agree that women get just as upset about being friendzoned as men. They act mad and weird when you reject their advances just like men. And, yeah, sometimes they cannot bear to see or maintain a relationship with the person who rejected them.
Men get just as upset about losing important friendships as women. They also act mad and weird if a female friend they don't want to date suddenly takes it upon herself to declare her feelings and then rejects their friendship altogether.
"Emotional abuse and exploitation" is a crazy term to use here. I have remained friends with a person who friendzoned me, and I didn't feel abused or exploited. Because I wasn't. I made the choice to continue to be friends, despite my embarrassment and jealousy, because it was worth it to me. Must we use therapy-speak to describe every instance of human friction as a situation in which one person is causing unilateral harm to another. I've observed women doing this in at least equal measure, for the record, and I think they should cool it with the therapy-speak too. I think we should all cool it.

Friend-zoning would require of the other person to suffer. If one person wants to be a couple, and the other one doesn't, the only option is to say goodbye. Anything else is emotional abuse and exploitation.

First, you can want to be a couple and not "suffer" over it. Or you can suffer a little, but determine for yourself that the upsides are still worth it.

If you're the sort of person who falls to pieces every time they can't get everything they want, then yes, you should absolutely say goodbye. But that's your responsibility and choice, not anyone else's to make for you.

Friendzoned means that the person doesn't find you physically attractive. People love to overcomplicate things and blame it on political views or some other metaphysical bullshit, but it all boils down to physical attraction. Yes, women get friendzoned A LOT. Men seem unable to comprehend this, but they are friendzoned. It's always unattractive women, though. Objectively attractive girls never get friendzoned, whether you like it or not. Women get very upset when they get friendzoned and they love to tell themselves all kinds of lies, even that the guy is gay, to avoid facing the harsh truth: they are not attractive.

You should never, ever, ever accept the friendzone. EVER. You should run as fast as possible the minute the word "friend" is uttered.

I know so many women who spent time as friends with guys they were romantically interested in, and eventually expressed their feelings and were rebuffed... and then continued hanging out as friends. Sure, they hurt. And some of them backed off, or at least took a bit of a break. But the whole "I can't be around you because I have feelings thing," strikes me as pretty juvenile - and did even when I was in my teens.
