If there's one thing I've noticed on this sub, it's that there are plenty of men who really, really want to have sex with women but really, really dislike female sexuality (in, frankly, whatever form it takes). And yet, the idea that the reverse might hold true--that women can be attracted to men while finding some aspects of their sexuality unpleasant--is kind of taboo. I also don't think there's an inherent "predatory male sexuality" but that's neither here nor there.

IME, while most women enjoy being asked out, the moment this turns into something that could be described as "hunting", they HATE it--even if they're into the guy!

You have to realize, and I'm scared that you don't, that these metaphors are destructive, and frightening. Predators and prey are different species. Their existence within a closed space are fundamentally incompatible. I am not a peice of meat, nor does putting on makeup mean I am presenting myself as one.

It feels good to be attractive, to be desired, not only sexually but socially, and this is true for both men and women. But above all I want to be respected by the people pursuing me. I do not enjoy repeated unwanted pursuit. When I am at work or in school, I do not appreciate being hit on. Lack of respect terrifies me, it turns me off and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And it doesn't sound like you are particularly respectful to those who you mean to pursue.

As for the vaginas part... I got news for you man, dick does not make people wet. That's a mental thing. It comes from being turned on. That part made me laugh 😂 because I, and plenty of other women, like vaginas. And dont particularly care for the sight of a penis being whipped out. Or a penis being forced into me.

I can't think of a time I wanted to be preyed on. I do remember being young and longing for a man to care about me and show an interest. Instead I usually felt exactly as you described it "preyed on". This was a turn off . . . . well . . . .and another turn off is talking about genitals. I suppose this is a bit off topic but the epitomy of a turn off for me was/is an obscene phone call or dic pic.

I would think women feel differently about this situation so you may not give my experience much weight.

Sure we do, in certain controlled circumstances where we have veto power. That’s why being attuned to IOIs is one of the most valuable skills a man can learn when it comes to getting with women. Go ahead and be the hunter, as long as you can tell for certain that she’s enjoying being the deer. If you can’t tell, pull back and wait for her to give some more obvious hints. It’s a game of push and pull, not single minded relentless pursuit. Treating uninterested women as “prey” is how you get arrested, or at the very least mocked and kicked out of the bar.

There's a few problems here.

Your language isn't the greatest for expressing the idea you're trying to get across. Women are quite literally preyed on every single day, it's insensitive.

The second is that you're painting in very broad strokes. Assuming that all male sexuality is "predatory" and that all people get off on being wanted is likely why you have these ideas in the first place. There's a whole gamut of things that turn people on and different sexual styles/approaches.

Your feelings about women are pretty clear in your last paragraph, and I highly suggest you dig into those feelings and work through them.

Not everything is black/white. If there's chemistry and signs of interest, then a man pursuing a woman is romantic and sexy. But then you get all the autists on here saying "wOMeN lIKe BeiNg ChaSEd RapE NorMal PrEdAtor PreY".

Women like being pursued, they like confident, attractive men. Does this mean that opens the door to a moutbreathing fatass repeatedly asking them out? No. Read social cues. A woman makes it VERY obvious when she's into you.

It depends on how neurotic she is. Women who have control issues will want to orchestrate the whole event and make sure he checks every box and even then, it's going to be pretty mechanical. And so for a woman like that, even if everything is 100% for her, she's going to ultimately start post-hoc rationalizing issues when she has to cede control and ultimately dump all that on him as anxiety etc.

Male sexuality is often predatory in that it is truly a hunt at times. A guy is horny and he's looking for a woman. Last week I was at a late middle aged meat market, the kind where housewives are out single buzzed on Chardonnay dancing to 80's music and you could spot the 50 year old players, their eyes would focus on their prey like a lion spotting a zebra. Its that intense "target" look.

You have to 1) be attractive enough to get her attention. The prey/predator analogy is just that, an analogy. Don’t go balls deep into it.

Women want attention and validation. They are looking to comfort their primary fear: being alone. Denial is a common band aid (ain’t need no man, happy single, etc.).
