You are making an assumption that if he didn't cheat they would still be married

Pretty much everywhere now you can divorce for no other reason than you feel like it

In the UK where I am from you can't divorce under 2 years without "unreasonable behaviour" but after that if both parties agree to it, the reason can be anything

Personally I feel cheaters should automatically be divorced by their spouse for it 99% of the time and they should be penalised for doing so by losing part of the asset split (yes pie in the sky legally)

Being divorced is not a punishment to many people whether they cheat or not, if I divorced my wife for "cheating" she still comes out of it with shit loads of $$$$

There is zero punishment in marriage/divorce for any act by the offending spouse, bar a few US States, you can be an ubercunt and there is no detriment to you other than the relationship ending which if you're cheating, you're likely not to care about anyway

I don't have a problem with this. Stepping out is a deal breaker for me as well. What I do have a problem with is the ridiculous amount of money they end up with. It should never be a percentage. If I have a ton of money and you leave, you no longer get access to that (regardless of why you leave). There should be - at most - a "living wage assistance" for a set amount of time. IE how much it costs to actually live - specifically not in the lifestyle she's "become accustomed to". That's stupid beyond words. There should never be a profit model associated with divorcing men with money.

Women are never expected to uphold their end of the bargain. They can stop being everything they were before, and the man is just supposed to 'take it'.

It is true that, in the example above, the man can divorce the woman too. But there is something else in a man's nature that women take advantage of. We hate to loose. We work harder and harder, dreaming that the day might come back where she 'loves' him again. We dream and hope and work our asses off to try ad please her. We don't want to lose her. But due to the nature of the female, this actually makes things even worse. She looses all respect because she knows she's treating him like shit but, yet, he keeps working harder and harder to please her. After that, she sees him as a spineless simp, her vagina dries up completely, and she's thirsting for a bad boy to tell her no and make her work for it. That's what gets women hot.

What is the purpose of not having sex with other people? Monogamy has it's pluses, but it's not universal, and it's not for everyone. Suppose not ever having sex with anyone else would leave your potential husband very unhappy. Would you want that for him? Do you want to say, "There is a price to marrying me, and you must pay it to be with me?" Why are we engaging in sacrifice as part of the marriage pact, instead of understanding about who each other are, and wanting each other to be happy?

I totally understand how being cheated on can be hurtful. But there's a common trope I see where women want to tell men, "Well, just behave." and it's never going to work, because men don't do things like this just to be assholes. You can't shame or infantilize these issues into disappearing, so 'just keep your dick in your pants' is not a solution.

I realize you say the same thing for women, but again, why must marriage be a sacrifice in someone else's pre-determined ways? Should we have to wear painful bondage implements the whole time we are married? I suppose some people might be into that, but if it just makes you unhappy, why not, like, not have that be a thing? Who sets these rules for other people?
