This has probably been discussed many times but i would just like to know each person feels mainly about monogamy and whatever context or reason for is.

I bring this up because i recently watched the vox explained on Monogamy:

Mainly due to reasons mentioned like the fact that many pre-modernized cultures practice polygamy, our closest relatives the bonobo and chimpanzee both practice it, and the shape of the male genitalia seems biologically designed for polygamy even more than our biological relatives. Also i feel that we as humans are culturally programmed to value sex with one partner not because of biological but social reasons mainly stemming from a separation from working together as a community to favoring the individual, it is also interesting that this staunch sexual and monogamous values have been adopted by non hetero and cis couples (not really a point i just find that interesting).

And I feel kind of convinced now that this is probably the way that we as humans should live, and even feel like it would be more beneficial extrapolated out to more aspects of society say children raised in an extended family without and strict definition of fathers and mothers but having all those roles present in multiple attachments.

Due to my own personal reasons, mainly i've never been in an actual sexual relationship, i was raised in an incredibly strong christian environment and have way to much anxiety, i don't think i could ever practice polygamy, but i do believe that it should be the relationship standard going forward.
