All of these "pills" lead people to dogmatic and skewed points of view. They make people immerse themselves in echo chambers and self-driven brainwashing. In the real world, 90% of the issues the majority of these "philosophies" discuss and deal with are practically nonexistent if you're a half-decent human being. If people are honest with each other and don't play stupid power control games then there isn't room to get hurt anymore. If someone plays games with you, just stop talking to them. If you feel you are being taken advantage of, stop talking to them. If you find someone who gives you what you want in whatever kind of relationship you are looking for, keep talking to them.

People like to take bad things that happened and look for trends because they feel like it will help them find patterns to look for in the future, but that's just our brains tricking us. Humans have gone through some seriously rough patches, so we're quick to jump to the conclusion that correlation IS causation, but ice cream doesn't make people commit crimes (there's a correlation between ice cream sales and crime rates, but it's just that most people stay inside when it's cold out and do stuff when it's warm).

I have gotten better and better at understanding how to be happy with someone because I learn from past experiences. My first two girlfriends were crash courses on what not to look for. The next three were classes on what I liked. I have been with my current girlfriend for 2.5 years now. Things aren't perfect, but we have a generally happy, loving relationship and a generally fulfilling sex life. We don't expect things from each other, but we're both there to help each other if we need help.

All that said, whenever I read through this sub or Female Dating strategy or The Red Pill or trufemcels or any of these "pill" communities, it just boggles my mind how ignorant, generalistic, and predatory most of the advice and points of view are. It's always the same "muh men/muh women are bad" posts from people who have no idea how to assert themselves in a straightforward, healthy, adult way. The real problem lies in that similar people read these for advice and continue walking in their insanity circle expecting change.

TL;DR self-medicating is bad and happiness lies in learning from pain rather than avoiding it
