TRP often says that western society has become feminized and "anti-male". While it is obviously true that society has become slightly more feminized, ( it was inevitable since technology made male physical strength mostly irrelevant) society is certainly NOT anti-male. In fact, society worship men and masculinity and largely sees women as inferior.

Lets look at the evidence.

1) Hollywood.

No contest, Hollywood worship men and masculinity. Most movie protagonists are male.

Most movie characters in speaking roles are male.

Super hero movies? Mostly males, who are portrayed as heroic, brave, masculine etc. There are very few female superheroes.

Women in movies are usually portrayed as sex objects or love interests for the male protagonists.

2) Video games

Despite the hysteria about SJWs taking over video games, the characters in video games are mostly male.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/871912/character-gender-share-video-games/

Female characters in video games are often portrayed as oversexualized caricatures.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30132695

Results demonstrated that female characters within video games are unevenly represented compared with male characters, with female characters mostly shown as subordinate to the male hero of the game, objectified, and hypersexualized with disproportionate body parts.

Now that we have debunked the myth that the media is anti-male. Lets look at some other factors.

3) Self-esteem

Rollo Tomassi often says that men learn to hate themselves and hate their own gender. But how true is this? Do men have a low self-esteem? Do women have a high self-esteem?

The answer is that women have a lower self-esteem than men! Especially in western countries!

https://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2016/01/self-esteem-gender

It is not men who learn to hate themselves, it is women. It is women who learn to have insecurities because of unrealistic body standards.

4) Pro-male bias

Women are less likely to get hired than men. Doesn't sound like much of an anti-male society to me.

https://phys.org/news/2019-03-women-percent-hiring-men.html

Women are on average 30 percent less likely to be called for a job interview than men with the same characteristics.

Society is not anti-male. Men are masculinity are generally worshiped to the point where women are encouraged to be more like men, while men are not encouraged to be more like women. (except maybe by fringe SJWs who don't represent the views of the general population)
