A man who does indeed order a meal for his date or, at any rate, makes a suggestion, is a man who is eager to introduce, to elevate, to guide.

In the best restaurants, the waiters look at the man for instructions. They know all too well, the art of good serving. They know how to recommend, they even have the practice of asking the man "And what for the lady?"

We modern people! Why are we getting rid of this!?

Furthermore, I would like to add that many times a woman of "good taste" knows how to evaluate a man correctly. She knows how to be ladylike on a date. Something which fewer and fewer women today know. You know what Im talking about. Im talking about the constant tinkering with the cellphone on every date. How shameful! That goes for men too. There are too many men also doing this.

The woman of "good taste" knows how to have a lively and intelligent conversation. She pronounces the food and wine on the menu correctly. She also knows what a gentleman is. A man who cannot order for his date or make a suggestion is no gentleman.

Lastly, while we are in the topic of taste, I would also like to say that conversations about the economy and the news are very distasteful topics for a date. It is a sin against Love itself! We make little Cupid cry every time we talk about 'distasteful subjects' on a date. The goal of a date is mutual appreciation, not mutual scorn.
