Oh my god, this reminds me of my ex. After I broke up with him (and he stalked me, I almost got the police involved) he used to talk to a mutual friend of ours who told me everything he would say.

He was sleeping with prostitutes to “get his needs met”. This was after he told me he didn’t have much experience with women and he was always super nervous on our dates.
