I was watching films on Sunday and in the UK Shark Tale and Muppet's Treasure Island were on back to back, in these films Lola swings Oscar against a pane of glass which other characters laugh off after Sykes says "ahh, young love." I never really got how objectifying someone in porn was supposed to be a bad thing. You objectivy people of all genders all the time, the context matters. Men are objectified in porn just as much, they're just a penis, not more, and that's ok.
To put it in perspective, let's take an example from another genre: You objectify goons for the hero to kill in an action flick. You don't know nor do you care about how well they can recite poems or if they like long walks down the beach or if they just hate it when they stub their toe on the kitchy little table they have inherited from their grandma. No, those goons aren't there to identify with, they're there so the hero has someone to kill. In the context of an action movie, objectifiyng random goons is totally ok, they serve no more purpose. Same for men in porn aimed at those that like men, same for women in porn aimed at people who like women. it's also totally fine to objectify them. And I never understood why that should be a bad thing.
Objectifying women (or men for that matter) outside of contexts where it's appropriate, like when you meet one on the street or something, is not ok, but context matters.
I just don't get it.

Well, i don't listen to rap, to me its mostly bad, with very few exceptions(its also dominated by black people, so is she saying rap and by extension black people are sexist?). It's not our fault women were written this way (mostly) in entertainment. They didn't have to take those parts. I wasn't told that was normal. As somebody who is interested in sexology, I get especially enraged when people are taking pornography for how men are being trained to objectify women. On the contrary, we have numerous examples that men seem to care less and less about their own satisfaction but focus more on the women's: Men care about having a penis that is too small in order to satisfy a woman. Men care about not ejaculating too quickly because the woman might not be satisfied. Men worry about not getting it up even though it happens to everybody from time to time (like premature ejaculation by the way). Some guys start to even actively deny their own sexual needs and accept not getting blowjobs because their SO doesn't enjoy giving them.

My point is not that men should not care about their SO when having sex. My point is that porn doesn't necessarily lead to objectification of women. Instead, we have a culture where it's almost more about the woman while sex is definitely one of THE aspects of life where both should be free to express themselves however they want.

Women take away our children and if we accept that we are bad/absent fathers and if we fight it we are hurting the children by dragging it out through the courts. Women can consent to sex and choice parenthood. Men can consent to sex and then must accept whatever the woman decides.
