I’m starting to think at one point men collectively decided to offer up the walk/park/coffee date as an alternative to avoiding this mythical gold digger and restaurant dates. It’s crazy how many of us think this is normal and I can see how when this is all we’re offered we become conditioned to accept it. It’s like an epidemic

Honestly, is “can I take you on a date?” Hard to say as a man? I swear this is so difficult for them. They try to skate around it so much. Even if they say “let me take you out to eat” they won’t refer or admit to it as a “date.” Wtf??

What is a tactful way to reject men who ask this in person? I've had a lot of men ask me if I wanted to "hang out" so I go into it thinking it's friendly and they think they're getting laid 😒. I'm no longer interested in "hanging out" with men even as friends. Ask me on a date or don't bother.
