Men of any social class or profession can be LVM. Having a respected job, lots of degrees or being wealthy DOES NOT equal HVM. There are plenty of abusers who work as doctors, lawyers, bankers and there are plenty of very wealthy men who think they can do whatever they want to people (women) because of their money or status.

These types can be even more dangerous because they are more adept at manipulation and deceit. Not to mention, they realise their status affords them a certain level of trust and respect and many will abuse their position of power. They know (some) women will fall for this.

I think you need to be EVEN MORE careful around men who appear to be “successful”. Those with power can more easily use, abuse and manipulate. They know what they are doing.

Judge someone based on their actions, not by their status/career/assets.

A man can be HV without being “rich” or in a “prestigious” job. Look at how he treats you.

DO NOT fall into the trap of thinking he’s automatically HVM because he has “status”. That is not HVM.

And for the male lurkers, no I wouldn’t accept a man who treats me badly, no matter how good looking (or rich). I want to be treated like a human being.

Whilst there is a minimum threshold for looks and money, they are not my primary focus, but a nice bonus.

I’m an exceptionally non-judgmental person when it comes to other’s looks. Despite being very attractive, most of the men I dated were conventionally “ugly”. It was a combination of me believing ugly guys make better partners and me truly not caring if someone was ugly (as long as they wore clean, appropriate clothes and practiced good hygiene). The partner I have now is the kindest, most gentle and generous soul I’ve ever dated... and he happens to be the best looking by far. I was actually afraid to give him a chance because I thought “hot guys” couldn’t also be loyal, appreciative, and seeking a serious relationship. I was very very open to (and actually preferred) men who weren’t cute but were high-value, and despite that I still ended up with someone cute (even though that’s not what I originally wanted). I’ve come to realize that many attractive men are more secure in themselves. When a man doesn’t try to “prove” anything other than his genuine interest in you, it’s a really great feeling.

Scrote I divorced had a bachelors in science, turns out they just didn't have the work ethic to get beyond entry level lab positions and always got fired for poor attendance before they became a full employee. I think maybe once in the last year on this sub I saw a woman say she realized she had trouble getting over a really bad ex in part because he was very attractive.
