I am making an exception to rule 6 because protecting women and opposing pedophilia is more important to me than protecting the anonymity of pedophile advocacy groups.

I don't want the internet to forget that when the rest of reddit was united in opposing a pedophile apologist, AHS went RADIO. SILENT. They didn't go private, they didn't even issue a statement of support.

But no, the FIRST thing they do once FDS goes public again is call us "hateful" for acknowledging reality and for wanting female-only spaces. Because, ya know, there's nothing hateful about PEDOPHILIA apparently, the "real" hate crime is those evil women and their pesky self-preservation instincts.

The behavior of AHS makes a lot of sense when you take into consideration their history of being complicit in Child Sexual Abuse. Here you can see one of their former moderators blowing the whistle on AHS spamming CHILD PORNOGRAPHY on subreddits they disagree with to shut them down. (Side note, every time we mention this, AHS gets all defensive and demands "proof" like oh yeah I'm totally just gonna post screenshots of child porn. Nice try but we're not falling for that bait. Just because y'all have no issues distributing child porn doesn't mean I should have to.)

This is one of the main reasons why FDS implemented the flairing system. Literally the whole reason why FDS is locked down the way that it is (and why our moderators have to work so much harder than any other moderation team on reddit) is because of false flag operations, many of which are coordinated by AHS.

We cannot allow the internet to forget that AHS is pro-pedophile and anti-woman.

Edit: at the time that I wrote this post, AHS had not made a statement about Aimee Challenor. They have since made a statement about it saying they agreed with her termination (finally). I'm going to leave my post up because I feel like the AHS statement is mostly just damage management and they only posted it because they got called out and realized it was a bad look to ignore pedophilia while continuing to attack female spaces.

I cannot understand why they’re so upset about a group of women discussing their dating standards. It’s wild. I’m pretty sure most of the women here, myself included, found this sub through a negative discussion about it. If LVM and pickmes had stopped whining about how a group of women they don’t know choose to live their lives, no one would even know FDS exists.

It's such a shame because AHS does actually criticize reddit misogyny a lot so I feel like they could potentially be a great ally. Unfortunately, it's just not possible to be allied with people who are trying to hurt you. I used to be one of those people who thought trans women should be included in FDS until I became a mod and was able to see some of the horrible things they say to us in modmail and in the comments. Now I understand the importance of female-only spaces: it's just not possible to be inclusive towards people who are actively trying to attack you.

Personally I don't have a problem with actual trans people at all. I think they deserve to be safe and live normal happy lives. My problem is with bad faith actors who are appropriating the trans rights movement to "get back at women" or advance some other misogynistic agenda. This is a well-documented phenomenon (the "MRA to TRA pipeline"). We get incels messaging us all the time saying they decided to identify as women solely to "access female privileges and live life on easy mode". OBVIOUSLY, NOT ALL TRANS PEOPLE ARE LIKE THAT! But these people do exist and whenever we talk about it we get labelled hateful and transphobic, which is a huge problem.

I cannot think of anything more dangerous than saying that people with certain identities are immune from criticism. People who are predatory CAN and WILL use any means necessary to shield themselves from accountability. Again, THE MAJORITY OF TRANS PEOPLE ARE NOT PREDATORS, but predatory people do exist, and it is a fact that some of them are exploiting the trans rights movement as a get-out-of-jail-free card. By silencing anyone who speaks out and labeling any disagreement as "hateful" you aren't actually protecting trans people, you're only protecting predators.
