People have been saying "you cannot change x, because there are too many assholes" for the majority of the history.

And the response is always: Who the fuck cares? It won't stop us from doing and saying the right things.

Sexism by definition: Discrimination based on sex.

You can stop sexism but it starts with separating the acts from the sex.

People like to say women and men are equal but those very same people treat men and women differently. It's an oxymoron. To stop sexism people have to stop being sexist.

Which is impossible because discrimination is not inherently bad, it's largely logical.

It makes sense that a majority of the army are men because they are objectively stronger than women on average, but that's still discrimination.

It makes logical sense that employers & companies don't want to hire pregnant women, but that's still discrimination.

It makes sense to be afraid of a man walking behind you at night, but that's still discrimination.

It makes sense to be more afraid of a black man than a white man, but that's still discrimination.

What's happened is that we've veered away from reality in our attempts to subsidize and equalize all fields which logically cannot be equalized.

We as humans can never be truly equal, especially men and women.

We inherently know this to be true which is why it breeds resentment given enough time.

More so now that our average life span is up and there's no "major" wars going on in 1st world countries women have had time to think, be coached & brainwashed, and have had time to learn.

This has caused a loss of vision on their part whether intentional or not where they do not see the full value of a man because they are not given the opportunity to show it whether fortunate or unfortunate.

A mans value is diminished because the government has effectively replaced the societal role they play for women.

The opposite is not true because the government can't give birth to babies.

Men are human doings, women are human beings.

Back in the day when there was no rule of law good women and men had equal respect for each other because they saw what they truly endured every single day.

Women take the safety granted to them by the government via men for granted.

They take the society that was built for them by the government via men for granted.

Women resent the fact they were born the weaker sex, because they had no choice.

Women resentment men for being stronger than them, because they had no choice.

Women resent the fact they are the sex that has to give birth, because they had no choice.

Women resent themselves because they know when the one true currency comes they have no real choice.

We are in the good times and in the good times you have a lot of time to think about problems that don't really matter.

The reason why sexism is unstoppable is because both misogynists and misandrists will fuel each other.

I disagree.

If you define sexism as treating one gender better than the other, there are 2 effects at play:

1) Very strong pro-female bias in women. Gender differences in automatic in-group bias: why do women like women more than men like men? 2) General pro-female bias in society. Women are Wonderful Effect

This is how we feel about female individuals of our species, which, mind you, also happen to be extremely vulnerable in the most critical phase our society needs them: pregnancy.

It is in our genes, we cannot "fix" it.

Whereas "misogyny" today is a cookie-cutter "blame any random topic on anyone, preferable a man".

Last, but not least, calling out female privilege mentioned above "benevolent sexism", as in, treating women as better/more valuable humans is somehow "bad" for them, is a genius PR stunt by the oppression charlatans.

If you let it. One thing I was taught well was to stay on topic. For example if the topic is gender divided, it’s fairly straightforward.

Another tool that benefits healthy discourse is to simplify things. Gendered debates aren’t hard. I often aim to simplify my viewpoints into two arguments; for a point; and against.

Sexism isn’t the same, as constructive debate. In good faith. As OP alludes, both sides are based on hatred. To negate that hatred, simply act, and communicate, in good faith.

Sexism isn’t just misandry and misogyny. Sexism is often agenda motivated. It’s often used to advantage one sex over other. We see this with affirmative action and women owned business advantages for example.

Sure their are people who are just plain hateful and bigoted, but that’s not the whole story.

The crazy thing about what you said is it’s not a cycle feeding it’s self. More like a half circle. Misogyny can breed misandry but misogyny can come about just because a male is jealous of a woman or he feels like he’s not getting what he’s owned. Hell, even if a male comes across a woman who is superior to him in some area that small and insignificant action can cause him to become a raging sexist (look up GamerGate). Males don’t necessarily have to be mistreated or abused by women in order to become a misogynist.

I don’t know how long you’ve been here. But I’ve seen males say the reason they became sexist toward women was because of rejection. That’s it. A girl in 9th grade didn’t accept his date to the dance and he’s spend the last 10 years hating women. Males will hate women because they feel like women don’t give them what they’re entitled to. Like a kid hating and adult because the adult refuses to give him sugar but he sees all the other kids get sugar. It’s irrational.

As for women who are misandrist all you have do is look at the rape stats. Look at the violence stats. The mass shooting stats. The murder stats. The child marriage at stats. Look at the type of people who are more likely to participate in child sex trafficking. The type of people who are more likely to peddle child porn. The people who are most likely to abuse animals or become serial killers. The people who the highest levels of narcissism and psychopathy. The people who lie more. The people who run gangs that ruin neighborhoods. The type of people who peddle drugs that destroy communities. On top of all of these stats you will see a common denominator. Males.

It takes massive amounts of cognitive dissonance to pretend males and women — as groups — are on the same moral plane.

Stupid fucking misandrist whore should get in the kitchen and cook for her hard working sugar daddy, the man is alpha and should have his food made without having to ask. As long as there are differences, you will have people who hate each other for those differences. I don't complain about white people not liking black folks or vice versa. The best you can hope for is to eradicate those thoughts from the gene pool.

These terms are so misunderstood and misused it’s ridiculous…

Sexism refers to false, detrimental perceptions about a gender, which may not be factual or even if factual don’t justify one’s inference. Ex. Women shouldn’t drive because they are worse drivers than men / Men . Even if women were worse drivers, it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t drive.

Misogyny/misandry literally mean hatred for women/men which apart from being much stronger that mild sexism, it describes a personal feeling one has for the opposite gender regardless regardless of whether there’s truth behind it. Ex. Women are horrible because they prefer fit, tall and affluent men / Men are oppressive pigs who just want women for sex.

Ofc you can't stop misogyny completely, there's always gonna be asshole men. But why shouldn't there be a war? We're fucking bringing about change, challenging ideas and norms of the patriarchy. Again, why should we stop that?
