Let us assume that a man's financial status is an important part of a woman's attraction. Let us put aside the debate as to whether or not it is "fair."

First, let's define financial status as the following:

  1. The amount of debt a man has, both long-term and short-term (mortgages, student loans, credit card, personal loans, etc).

  2. The amount of money a man makes in a year (for most full-time employed people, this would be their salary).

  3. The amount of money he has saved in risk-free accounts (the amount in a standard checking/savings accounts).

  4. The amount of money he has in liquid investments (e.g. stocks, bonds, ETFs, options, etc).

  5. The amount of money he has in illiquid investments (e.g. fine art, property, jewelry, etc).

Suppose you have a man that is willing to be honest about his financial status in its entirety with women. He may not want to share every detail immediately, but he is willing to be honest with a woman.

How should a man communicate this information without wanting to be seen by a woman as solely a provider? To use RP terminology, he wants to be less of a "beta bucks" and more of a "alpha fucks." He is okay with the woman feeling comfort due to his financial status, but he wants to be loved because of his:

  • looks

  • personality

  • work ethic

  • eating and exercise habits

  • hobbies

or some other aspects.

So again, how should a man communicate his financial status without relegating himself to a provider role?
