Woman don't really approach they generaly put them selfs in your vicinity. They are very subtle how they flirt. Now a friend who was a male model different story. He's 38 and ripped as fuck they literally come to him and herd around him. It's crazy he would be a 1%er.

I got approached a lot in my 20s, but it's usually by girls who I felt were a lot lower SMV than me, or older than me.

In my 30s (now) I get approached rarely, like once per year or so.

The way women approach is vastly different than how men approach. Men don't like confident women. It makes us insecure in our ability to lead.

The way women flirt:

Eye contact and a smile then sitting/standing next to you
Drunkenly fall into your arms
Mostly just eye contact and sitting/standing next to you

The most you get is opportunities to make a move.

Unless you are catch and they feel motivated to take more risks. But picking up is risky. You are putting your self in position to be rejected. Why would they do that when Men are more than willing.

Despite whatever stuff anyone here says about a progressive society, women still almost always take a passive demeanor with guys.

I’ve been approached by plenty of women in bar scene for casual (Gen Z) but not really actually dating, lol. Not that they’re unattractive but usually nothing special tbh.

I’m also well over 6 ft and stay in decent shape which helps. It can be double edged sword because some very unattractive women feel emboldened nowadays. Which is one thing, but a lot of these same bold women cannot handle an ounce of rejection.

That said I’ve only been approached in bar / club scene mainly. Haven’t really had a girl cold approach me in a normal public setting ever.

Women will never ask you out. Not because you're bad looking or anything, it just doesn't happen. The best you can hope for is "signals" which could be her liking you or it's just the way she acts. There's no foolproof way of knowing either.

As a man, it's apparently your job to guess and deal with potential consequences of guessing wrong.

I've had women approach me before, when I was younger, in the bar/nightclub setting. To echo others, they were never who I wanted to approach me, but I knew it was a dead cert when they did.

Once had a woman phone me out of the blue and ask me out with her. Once. Her, I did like and we dated for a few months.

Another time, I'd a woman I vaguely know approach me at club closing time and tell me I should go home with her. One evening while outside on a bar's patio, a woman I'd never laid eyes on before came up and suggested we go home together.

However, those last three examples are the only examples I have of that in my entire life. I'm not trying to pretend it's some sort of regular occurrence for me every time I go out, but you go out enough times, and stuff like that can happen... when the sun, moon and stars all align.

The one time I'd a woman approach me and I appreciated the female viewpoint, was the most recent (i.e. few years ago). I was stood on my own waiting for my friend to appear and had chosen to stand between two tall tables just off the dance floor. A blue haired, overweight, very drunk woman noticed and made a beeline for me. She kept insisting I dance with her, and was doing what I'm sure she thought was 'sexy' moves, but looked cringingly ridiculous, and I could see people around looking and laughing. I was effectively trapped where I was standing and tried to be polite as possible - one reason being she was holding a drink and I wouldn't have been surprised to get it over my head if I was anything other.

But she just kept on and on and wouldn't take no for an answer. I ended up feeling like a woman pleading, "Please, just leave me alone"(!) Eventually one her friends came and dragged her off and I immediately left via the fire escape door to my right.

That's my one sex-pest story, too.

I'm pretty attractive. Pre-lifting, and some years ago, I was rated on TrueRateMe and got a 6.5 with a couple 7s sprinkled in. This is the "normie" (for lock of better word, I'm not an incel) equivalent of like an 8.5-9. But not a 10.

I'm approached like a couple times per year, cold. In warm social settings (classes, groups, events) I'm often "the guy women talk to" or sit near. If I talk to a woman, she's usually at least friendly.

Women don't approach much. If you're not being approached, it just means you're not standing out a ton. You could still be "above average." You also may not notice some approaches; I definitely only notice more subtle approaches because I've also, over the years, had more overt ones.

What constitutes being "picked up"? Does it mean meeting someone and going home with them that same night? If that's the case, is who picked up who just a matter of who approaches first? Is it just a matter of who asks the other to go home with them? Both?

Say a girl approaches me, we start talking, and I ask her to come home with me. Did she pick me up or did I pick her up? Say I approach a girl, we start talking, and she asks me to come home with her. Same question. Who did the "picking up"?

Girls have approached me before but most of the time a woman approaching you mean she's less attractive than you'd like.

I'd say my success rate with women who I APPROACH is maybe 50/50 to dance/makeout or get numbers and maybe 10% to actually hook up.. but those who APPROACH ME? Definitely a 0%. I've never hooked up with a girl who approached me, because I didn't find them attractive.

I guess it really depends what you mean though, bc the girl who I'm currently with leaned in for the kiss first but I approached her in the beginning/touched her first etc

I have been picked up by women a bunch of times, but almost always these were the women I would apporach myself anyway. Not just because I found them attractive, but also because they genuinely seemed approachable.
Its just that they managed to make the first move slightly before I decided to make mine.

My theory is that people who are compatible instinctively notice oen another in the crowd, and the rest just depends who moves first, but the outcome is the same.
