Coming from the sub-thread discussing how young guys aren't looking for marriage yet (here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/d26xes/q4w_you_know_how_some_guys_are_like_when_i_wasnt/ezt6e8j/), my first thought is that these women could simply look for an older guy who is already established/successful and ready for marriage.

I previously thought the ideal was for an 18-25 y/o girl at the peak of her beauty to marry a 25-40 y/o guy at the sweet-spot of wealth/health. But from that thread, I'm inferring that there's a strong preference/assumption to marry same-age, so I'm wondering if someone could explain it to me.

  1. Is it internal attraction (too old) or external social expectations (avoid gold-digger accusations)?

  2. Is it that you want to lock your value in early so you have 50-50 equity in the marriage?

  3. Is it that you want purity in a husband (hasn't cashed in on his higher SMV with CC riders)?

  4. Why would a high-value girl not break-up with a guy slogging for years trying to find success? (Assuming she can marry older, directly into an UMC+ lifestyle)

  5. What if the guy feels inadequate, questioning whether he even deserves to be with her? Or the opposite, after he's found success and thinks he can "do better" now?
