One definition is "The man want to be with and men want to be",

So this would mean ladies men, players and fuckbois. If they wern't so valuable, they wouldn't be getting hordes of women.

In "Influence, the power of persuasion", there is a case study where some woman runs a jewellary store. She has some items she wants to sell, and leaves a note to reduce them to 1/3 of the price whilst she is on holiday. When she returns all the items are gone and there is demand for them., anyway the assistant read the note wrong and thought it said "X3", thus they become more expensive. So I guess we could say something unobtainable has more value. A £500 steak has more value than a £1 steak.

On the N-Count view, you could argue low N-Count women are more valuable to men because they are harder to get with unlike a high N-Count women. Anyway there are enough threads on that topic.

I remember seeing one thread on FDS, where it said a HVM was basically "Ned Flanders", now I don't see Ned Flanders being chased or beating off women with a stick. So what makes him high value, there is no demand. If that was the way to become valuable, every man and his dog would become Ned Flanders overnight.

Another school of thought is someone who stands out. If your like everyone else, you have no value as you are easily replacable. Like PUA says "Don't do what everyone else does".

So what makes a HVM?
