Women put in effort to be attractive: diets, going to the gym, dressing up well, using matching make up, sending signals to men to come talk to them, and possibly other things that don't even come to mind to us. Then weeding out the "undesirables" that approach, having to be concerned with the more forceful ones, navigating social cues, etc.

Sure, it's easier for them, because men typically approach, whereas women do not (generalization obviously). There are a lot of frustrated women out there, much more than you can imagine.

I dislike the word 'slut'. The whole concept of slutshaming is silly and rooted in deep insecurity. Having a sexual appetite says nothing about who you are as a person.

Yes, but that's not their fault. Also, get over it, that's just how the world works.

If men worried less about how many women they slept with and spent more time thinking about having quality experiences and relationships with women, they would be much happier. I would say that it is true that it's easier for women to have as many sexual partners as they please and sleep around if they see fit than it is for men, as it's a lot easier for women to find men who would be willing to sleep with them then vice versa.

Does this justify slut-shaming? I don't think so. Because of the effort required for men to bed women, sure, I may congratulate a man who is a "stud," and assign positive value to his ability to have many partners. But I don't see why it should be the case that I should assign negative value or denigrate women who have many partners and sleep around. It doesn't take much skill, no, but there's nothing wrong with it, either. So, I just assign neutral value to it, and see it as neither better nor worse than her having fewer partners. I suppose this is still a double standard, because I'm still assigning differing amounts of value according to their sex, but it also stands opposed to patriarchal norms such as slut-shaming, so I'd still call it a progressive stance that happens to take into account social and biological realities. By this same token, I am also more impressed by women who excel at things that they are disadvantaged at than I am with men who excel at those same things at which they are not disadvantaged.

Men who try to have sex for the purpose of boosting their self-esteem or social status have a very hard time doing so. But the same is true for women, because they only get a social status boost if they fuck a celebrity or something.

If you take a man and a woman, who do not know or like each other, sex between them is probably going to suck. But the man might still want to do it because he will feel like a player and can brag about it to his friends, while the woman obviously would not be interested.

If we are talking about sex for pleasure or for the purpose of feeling connected to another person, women have it just as hard as men. If a woman asks a random guy for sex, it's extremely likely she will not even orgasm from the encounter and it will be a degrading and unfulfilling experience for her. It's hardly "sex" when the guy just uses the woman as a fleshlight so he can just add another notch to the bedpost. If you compare how hard it is for a woman to orgasm with a partner with how hard it is for a man to orgasm with a partner, they are on equal ground.
