There is a list of health requirements that men have to meet in order to donate sperm, it would be easier to get it from there. Maybe she just wants to do it the "fun" way, but there's no guarantee the sexual encounter will actually be fun or safe.

This sounds pretty crackpot. Plus I don't think signing some form, probably informally, is going to secure the release of his parental rights in any meaningful sense.

If she can't afford a carefully screened and vetted donor through a sperm bank, then she shouldn't be having children. I hope this is a bait post and she really wants men to put them on ice and steal their kidneys to sell on the black market.

Bad idea. A sperm clinic, albeit more expensive upfront, would be safer in every way. Her method could have her pay a very high price, and not necessarily monetary.

If its Tinder, why even ask for a sperm donor? They'll gladly hook up with you and never see you again or know your name, why the formalities.

That's a high genetic risk to take not going to a clinic. Sperm donors are thoroughly and ruthlessly screened to avoid hereditary problems such as developmental or physical disability, cancer risk, heart conditions, mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia (about a 12% chance) etc. Also, she risks being tied to a scrote for the rest of her life because of family law, he may turn around and decide to use the child as a gateway to accessing her. Plus men lie about STI status all the time. The price to pay for a donor and IVF is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Not a good idea. A guy passes on so much more than the color of his eyes or whatever else matters to that woman.

Things many women actually wouldn't and don't consider when picking a father for their children, because they don't have the experience or capacity to think that far ahead.

Quality sperm banks exist for a reason.

Not sure? How much does anonymous sperm cost from a clinic? I'd rather have sperm that had been screened, personally. But the premise of having a child without a Dad - I can certainly agree with. My kids filled and still do fill me with joy and all of our lives would have been better without their father. Once he was out of the house - our lives improved immeasurably - except financially but they still tell me they were glad he was gone. His presence was oppressive. The energy of our home totally changed to one of lightness and laughter.

Why not just go to a sperm bank? The sperm is safe, she can choose whoever she wants, and there are no potential legal issues. It’s not that expensive and a straightforward insemination isn’t either. If she bought one unit of sperm and got pregnant on her first try, it would cost her less than five grand.
