There’s nothing wrong with living a traditional life and wanting a partner that shares those values, but it seems like a lot of the men who complain about the lack of traditional women are just projecting their own insecurities about being unable to meet those rigid traditional patriarchal standards. Are you gonna work long hard hours to provide for your wife and kids while she sits at home? Are you tall and strong enough to protect her and your kids?

If not, it’s okay. You don’t have to adhere to any societal standard. But don’t make other people adhere to a standard you can’t even reach yourself.

EDIT: Because I keep getting asked the same question over and over again, let me clarify that the point of this post is that we should all aim for partners that have the same values as us. As in, don’t expect a trad wife to strictly adhere to patriarchal social contracts beauty standards (virgin before marriage, homemaking, babymaking, childbearing body) if you’re not a trad man under these rigid standards (provide enough for the whole family, have a body that can protect from threats), and the same applies vice versa to women who want trad men but are not trad women. Basically let’s all stop dictating what men and women should be and just find people who we are compatible with.
