In my experience, if they show indicators of interest (prolonged/repeated eye contact, close proximity, smiling at you etc.) and you respond with inaction, they tend to take it as a rejection and act accordingly (i.e. become cold, distant, frustrated etc.). I've experienced it many times at concerts and clubs.

The girl you're talking about probably has understood your lack of interest and acts accordingly to it. Maybe she doesn't want to come off clingy or she's embarrassed because she hit on a married man.

Personally only once I was hitting on someone and they didn't react at all. It was a lack of interest and they were ignoring my flirting intentionally, but I asked them out anyway and got politely rejected. We kept being friends.

Since I have diagnosed autism I was pretty oblivious to a girl (that I think) that was hitting on me. She never looked at me with a smile but just repeatedly and kept standing in close distance to me, but when I talking to her she was tense so I stopped. But I guess she still liked me. Anyway, it ended up with her giving me looks of disgust instead and trying to play mindgames. Not a good time.

Depends on the person.

Some people take inaction as a form of rejection.

Some people take reaction badly and want "revenge".

Some people only had romantic interests and have no intention of being nice or remaining friends after being rejected.

Some people don't mind rejection and are perfectly fine with staying friends.

The rub is that women are too subtle as giving signs of interest and men are too incompetent at picking them up.

So of course men are just going to make moves on any woman that they find attractive and have held a conversation with.

It sort of depends.

In most cases, I assume he’s not interested in me and move on — my experience with most guys is that if they aren’t making a move, me doing so is not wanted. For instance, because he’s in a relationship, as in your case. If I really like the guy then I guess the change in mood from me could come across as “cold,” but it’s just me looking to manage my own emotions by making some distance from him and not making things embarrassing for all of us by chasing a guy who isn’t reciprocating.

However, if I can tell he’s really into me but just shy, then I’ll make a move. That’s how my ex and I got together — I said “you should be a little more assertive. For instance, I can tell you want to kiss me right now, so you should.” We were never apart for eight years after that moment.

I just move on. If I’ve flirted with someone and expressed interest and they don’t reciprocate that I just accept the rejection for what it is and move on. If we weren’t really friends or acquaintances and we barely talked before I started flirting with them I’ll return to that norm. I guess to a man that may read as cold and distant though, but in reality it’s just the origin point.

In my experience if a girl shows interest and you don't move (at least try to kiss her!) on the first date you won't get a second date.

If you insist on a second date she will friendzone you if you try.

That does not mean that you need to make sex at first date, but you _must_ at least give her a good sign that you like her.

You say you're married, so that puts you in a different position to single men since you'll probably reject any woman approaching you. So, if a woman makes a move, she must be a rather special type of woman and her reactions also not the most common ones, so it's difficult to explain.

Among single people, it depends on whether the man is interested or not. If the woman perceives the man is interested, and she's not shy or inexperienced, she might want to make the first move. This might work fine, or she might be rejected. If she's rejected, it will depend on how the rejection is done (if the man is kind and friendly in expressing his lack of interest, or not) and on the personal level of maturity of the woman.

As a woman, I've often made the first move, with varying success, but I've long ago forgotten the failures and really enjoyed the successes. Nothing to regret. And I'm in very good terms with the couple of men who rejected me.

Well from a non pc real statepoint out the point is that this is a shit test for women.

She subcontiously counts the seconds you need to ask her out, so even hesitation alone from women to women the acceptable time could be different or the time she holds eye contact or whatever.

But yes she don't assumes you are not interested, but if she don't know that you are engaged she assumes you are awkward, so when you are autistic that will even more likely give her "creep" vibes and she will not jump on you have a girl friend or wife. (I would asume that very few autistic people have wifes?)

So a experiment would be to tell the "snooty" women that you are married or show her the ring or something, when they try something on you, and then she might put you from the awkward person (for which women often not just have no interest but have a disgust, probably a selection to prevent them to bundle with "bad" men) to the "taken person" pile, which itself should on average as crazy as it sounds might make many of them more interested in you, because of pre-selection.

And even the women that says I would not be interested and it could be that her conciousness overrules her deep instinct, but on a animalistic level she is more interested into you.

So basically it's more or less the opposite, when feminists blubber about things that are society that parts are biological, and when they say the true blabla how women / men are that is the sociatal brainwashing.

So in certain situation let's say you would start telling such person that you are unhappy or you are divorcing or something, her bigger attraction because of you been preselected would take over because her societal learned rules to not go for married people would not override that anymore. Or it could be something stupid like alcohol that depends on the women and the amount of alcohol.

I don't always make a move unless you include asking. I typically ask because of being raised in the age of consent standards (not a bad thing). I usually say hey, could I kiss you or something.

One girl had asked me out several times over a few years and I had refused her each time, she had even asked me if I was gay haha

Anyways she didn't treat me poorly afterwards, things remained the same and eventually we drifted apart because of life and we now have no contact.
