A perfectly reasonable ruling; I'd expect the same to be done to men with primary custody who denied mothers legally mandated access to their children.

I'm in the middle of dealing with this right now. I last saw my daughter Memorial day (end of May). I was supposed to have her for a month over the summer. Didn't happen. I'm supposed to get her this weekend too. She says it's not going to happen. Last time I took her to court (last December) she was told she was being willfully in contempt. A stern talking to (lol). Now I have to drag her back to court yet again and pay $200 court fees just because she doesn't feel like following court orders. The kicker is that for some reason or another she thinks she's going to get her way. That's what she thought last time and she left in tears. Borderline personality disorder is so fun.

Unless there is compelling evidence that keeping the father from having contact with his kids, there's no fucking reason a dad shouldn't see his kids as much as he wants.

Let's not circlejerk around this issue. Not letting a parent (of eather gender) see the child although given a permission by court is being punished here. But the perpetrators are mostly mothers.

There's no exact quote so I take it with a bit of skepticism especially since it's dailymail.

I grew up with my mom and she has a habit of saying (now that i'm grown up) that that now she sees her mistake because she let my father see me and my brother and she didn't forbade it. So now has a way of thinking that we (my brother and I) love my father more then her and ofter talk about how "He" (we were forbid to call him dad when we were little). won us over.

The truth however is completely different I love my mom and my dad never really showed much interest in raising me or advise me when I was growing up because he wasn't that involved (he has a real family) He was just some guy I go to when I needed money and to collect alimony.
He got more involved with me when I got my shit strait got a job and started living my own life. If he dies (God forbids) I would miss him. But I would cry for my mom.

Jail the parent in contempt, since the parent is in jail, custody goes to the other parent, reverse child support payments. It is not that difficult.

So the current law is that if mothers break the law, nothing happens. This judge is suggesting that we punish people after they break the law 3 times, and even then, they don't have to go to jail, they just lose custody. This is a joke- if you break the law once, you deserve to get punished. Publicly admitting there is a problem may be a step in the right direction, but this solution isn't enough.

Mothers shouldn't be sent to prison, unless the father wants them sent there. After all in many states women can chose whether or not to send their ex to prison if he can't meet her financial demands, so why should it be any different?

In my case, the court ordered that the mother wear a tag that curfewed her and restricted her movements to her workplace and home because she wouldn't obey the court's orders.

I think this sounds like a great idea, but only if the justice system works overall. What I mean is, I knew a woman who abused the system, and took child support, but refused to let the father see his kid as often as they had agreed because her new boyfriend didn't life him. Bad. But I've also known an abused woman, who had an actual psychopath for a boyfriend, who she could not, for the life of her, get authorities to believe he was abusing her. To the world he was a stand up guy, but in the home he was pure fucking evil. She tried to get away, and was finally successful with the help of friends, but now she had to share custody of the kids with him. He continued to abuse her using the children and there was never enough proof for the authorities because he was fucking great at it. She's back with him now because he threatened her life if she didn't. She told a mutual friend he acted really normal and even sweet when she came back. And all she could think about was that he had fucking threatened to kill her otherwise... Anyway, I guess that is an a-typical situation, but I gotta say, stuff like this NEEDS extreme case-by-case attention. And please if a woman says she's being abused, it's better to believe a liar than allow an innocent woman to be punished by disbelief.

The dumbass responses on this thread are the exact reasons women sometimes keep their children from men like you. They are protecting them because a broken system is failing to. Some of these responses just shows how disgusting some of you are and certainly should not be raising future generations with malicious attitude such as these. When you grow up and start acting like MEN you may not have so many issues with women. I started following this group because I was touched by a thread I once read, down hill from there. Most of yall are a bunch of misogynistic pussies who mothers would be ashamed if you ever had the balls to tell them the truth. No wonder you have so many issues. Some of you there is still hope for. I suggest creeping a woman's forum and actually listening with an open mind. You may be surprised at how easy changing things is. For the rest of you, so sorry that would take to much effort for your pea-brains. It may blow your delusions of women being so bad out of the water then you wouldn't have a reason to bitch.
