Not really. Most guys that I know who aren't successful with women aren't looking for casual sex, they want relationships. You aren't going to get that from a prostitute.

I do think that sex work like onlyfans will get more popular though. The guys who spend there money on onlyfans are doing it mostly for the opportunity to interact with women.

22 years old here. I have personally seen somewhere between 20 and 30 escorts since my 20th birthday. Wasn't due to stats, I just figured it was all I wanted to gain from girls, and was far easier to get the money to pay for it than it was to just pursue girls for free.

Unfortunately most girls who are my age or younger tend to be more expensive, so I do see girls who are a bit older most of the time(late 20s to 30s).

Edit: I should require that in my situation, pursuing girls for free would require an infinite effort, thus it is obviously easier to work to get money than work towards free sex

However, I imagine that most inexperienced men in their 20' are looking for intimacy. Unfortunately, they won't find it with most women that are on the "market" or with a sex worker.

Depends. Many men seem to look down on sex workers and have a rage/frustration for having to pay for it instead of getting it through other means.

People's ideas about sex and their entitlement is weird.

I'm sure some will be perfectly fine with it. But many FA's seem enraged about the idea of paying directly for sex.

I expect the growth of OnlyFans is partially due to this reason. Being socially awkward for men impacts them a lot more than appearance does. You're 21 years old. You've got tons of time. Think about it this way. Anyway young men have always been occasional customers of sex workers and the main reason they don't do it more is because most of them can't afford to make it a habit. There are reasons people see sex workers beside "can't get laid otherwise" and there are reasons people who struggle with dating choose not to see sex workers even when they can afford to do so. Dating and being a client meet very different needs.

It's a lot harder these days for some reason with the internet. There are a lot of women, and probably more today than ever in history, who are involved in porn, massage, stripping, or prostitution. The irony is that the women who aren't are often extremely conservative and want traditional dating, or bash men for wanting sex like they're radical feminists and women aren't out there doing the same shit to guys (and also trying to charge money for it).

The loneliness and affection parts are also my issue. I support their rights to do whatever they want, but try and date one of those women and see how fast it turns into a business arrangement with you having to pay for it.

I'm sure there are several who still want a "traditional relationship" so they want you to court them and make it about something other than sexual attraction. This is probably very common since they've pretty much just been seen as a sex symbol due to their work and may be tired of it.

You can always do both, and I recommend you do. I would just not rely on it or make it habitual, though. There are a lot of people who fall into this trap because it's their only sexual outlet. Finding a regular person to talk to is a lot harder, and it was before you started using adult services. It's still just as hard. Even if it's nothing more than just to remind you that there's regular non-sexworkers everywhere, then it's worth trying to be normal.

I'm honestly surprised they haven't introduced more regulation to make it safer for everyone. I mean it's completely illegal in the USA, and yet there's millions of people doing it, and doing it in every single state. It's in this weird gray area because they know it's sex work but it's not technically since it's just a stripclub or a massage parlor or whatever. It's just an easy target for them to confiscate a lot of money and throw more relatively innocent men in jail, sort of like having a small amount of mj then being put in prison over it. It's backwards thinking.
