I didn’t think of them as any different from all the other men who didn’t approach me. How would I know he is one of the guys who never approaches anyone versus one of the men who didn’t approach me but eagerly approached other women they actually liked?

I generally assumed men who showed zero signs of interest in me were not interested in me, because I’m not the kind of arrogant crazy person who thinks everyone secretly adores me just because they’re being polite.

There's no reason for us to think about these men at all, especially if most still approach women they are interested in. Women in general lack the motivation and the benefits of approaching random men, and those we do want to approach we still are anyway

I find it a little incongruent how much manospherians harp on about the importance of pre-selection, while still somehow thinking it makes sense for us to cold-call men and spam our pussies at them. Like that makes sense to the female imperative like it does for the "spray and pray" gender

That’s not true though is it? The study says 45% of young men, 18-25 have never approached a woman in person, meaning they have online or through other means. With the main reason being, those men are too scared of rejection to try. It also states that 74% of women 25 and below stated a desire to be approached more often.

I've approached guys I was interested in when I was dating, and I've been approached by guys. I was not even remotely thinking about the guys who never chose to interact with me, there were no positive or negative thoughts.

No I don’t think about them. They are effectively invisible to me in a romantic sense; I am not attracted to passive men. I understand I limited my dating pool this way, but I’ve never had a shortage of men who wanted to approach and flirt with me.

Every time some man on this subreddit tells me I should approach men, and I ask how or why that will be good for me, I have never gotten a good answer. If I’m not attracted to men who don’t approach, why would me approaching him be a good thing to do? Since I follow traditional gender roles, why is approaching a passive man good for me?

These men just do not cross my mind. And why would they?

I don‘t think about them. They are excluding themself. It’s up to them to change it. I used to be fat and socially akward. I never thought damn men really never give fat women who can barely get two words out a chance. Because it was my own damn fault I didnt get a date. Please take some responsibility.

I agree that men have a harder time getting a date then women do. And men are expected to persue more than women and that‘s not fair. But if you want to date you can either cry about how unfair the datingmarked is or you can do something to participate in it.

I‘m currently looking for a new flat. I‘m half german half tunesian. In germany applying for a flat is a lot like the application process for a job. I know I‘m heavily disadvantaged. Most german landlords want white german tenants. But I‘m still going to meet them in my best work clothes with my application ready on hand fake laughing about their xenophobic jokes. Complaining doesnt get you anywhere. You need to take action if you want something.

What are you hoping that women do about this? Say yes to every man who asks them out? I think my partner of 9 years might have an issue if I come home and tell him I've got 2 new boyfriends.

Should we approach men who we think look lonely and ask them out? Should we do that even if we're not romantically interested in them, just to boost their confidence?

It sucks that some people struggle to find a partner, and I would never claim otherwise, but I don't know what you want the solution to be. Aside from stripping women of all their human rights and having them be bought and sold like cattle, I don't see one. You can't force people to be interested in you, even if their reasons for not being interested are shallow.

Women aren’t excluding these men, they’ve excluded themselves. Saying women are “passively” leaving out 45% of men who never approach is like blaming employers for not hiring people who never applied for a job. You can’t opt out of the process and then act like you’ve been wronged.

Being afraid of coming across as creepy doesn’t mean women now owe you the effort instead. Everyone, men and women, has to deal with the risk of rejection and awkwardness when it comes to dating. They’ve chosen not to try at all instead of working on learning how to read social cues, build confidence, and treating people with respect. That’s what most emotionally mature people do.

Probably not, if these men aren’t putting themselves out there in any way, no online presence, no mutual social spaces, no interest shown, why would anyone think of them as potential partners? They’re effectively invisible by their own doing. That’s not women’s fault, and it’s not women’s responsibility to fix.

Lastly, the incel logic is completely backwards. Most incels aren’t people who tried once and got heartbroken, they’re often people who never made a genuine effort in the first place and proactively rejected themselves.

You’re trying to paint women as selfish and oblivious, when in reality, they’re just responding to the people who actually show interest.

People aren’t mind readers. You don’t get to sit out the game and then be mad you weren’t picked for the team.

I don’t think about them at all. I would assume they’re probably shy or awkward which generally women don’t find attractive in men or maybe they don’t want to be bothered by women and dating and that’s completely fair.

Regardless it’s probably in women best interest to entertain the men who initiate and approach 1st.

That 45% is also young men that haven’t approached in person. It doesn’t exclude asking friends out over text or online dating. It specifically says in person.

I don't think you've asked this question in a good faith, but i will answer.

I know that not all men chasing women for whatever reason. The problem starts in second sentence. As soon as i show that i'm interested in relationship or any interaction with men i am being "chased", even if those guys don't want marriage or ltr and assuming that i want it, they still take my time, and a lot. So if situation was like me sitting passively and nothing happened this question would make sense, i mean why not make moves myself. But it's not the case. So basically unless this man is in my social circle already i have no way to know about his existence at all and no reason to look for him, i have to sort through all those men that do take action.
