This is an age-old question in philosophy: why should I be good?

Most people approach this unphilosophically: be good because it is good to do so. Other's appeal to feeling: be good because it feels better overall.

I think there is a more pragmatic argument: being good increases the likelihood that others will be good to you. A more woo-woo way of putting it is that you get back the kind of energy you put out. But I think the truth is just more grounded in human biases.

At one point you'd be forced to act like them, even if only out of sheer exhaustion,

I think that would be a sign of rather poor character. The thing is, I must have dated, to some extent or another, around 150 women by now. The vast majority were... pretty cool. Quite a few are amazing. Only a small minority behaved in ways worthy of complaint.

This suggests that it is entirely possible to be a woman and NOT wind up thinking or acting like the women men on this sub often describe, just like it's possible to be a man and NOT think or act like these men themselves.

If you choose to, don't blame the world.

There is no reason to take any complaint seriously here. People come on this sub to debate.

As a woman you will conform to female nature. And as a woman you do not need to acknowledge your own flaws to get a partner or even improve as a person. Men already date down so you can either just wait for a man to do so. But men will discuss that nature/flaws no matter what you do, just as women do about men.

Most women don’t embrace it because they want to convince themselves they are a perfectly moral person who doesn’t uphold gender standards or whatever. In reality women just excuse their nature in what they’re attracted to as “icks” in men or some other ambiguous way. But if you don’t care, absolutely embrace it

Nah, if I was a woman I’d conform to female nature too. Why would I care about men’s problems when there is no reason to? As a woman I’d consider myself the true victims of society and consider men’s problems secondhand as women do, and talk them down/ dismiss them as women do. And I’d convince myself that my morals were perfect while doing all of that.

So there is no downside to acting this way. Men can already see the way you think based on the things women say. You would probably get more hate from women (since you say men already hate in both situations) for making women as a group look bad.

I mean I don’t think you should take men’s opinions on female behavior with a grain of salt. There’s a degree of empathy that is healthy but overall you’re free to develop yourself into any kind of woman you want. (or atleast what your environment allows for.)

Men that don't know you well will naturally be slow to trust you. That's natural of strangers. If you demonstrate integrity, then over time you can build that trust

Also, ideally, you would have some moral principles that you would adhere to, even if you don't get explicitly rewarded for them.

So I can only answer this from my personal point of view when it comes to these issues and "pills" in general.

Your stance seems to be that women will be treated poorly by men by default. If that's your experience, I cannot refute that. However, personally I've always thrived to treat all people around me, women and men alike, with basic decency and according to their individual character.

But as I'm getting older and find myself voicing those complaints you mentioned (mostly about systematic social treatment of men like me), it's shifting my attitude towards the negative when by default, those harmful attitudes are ignored or even actively perpetrated by women. I don't like that this is happening to me, and would like to keep believing that we can all treat each other with shared sympathy and respect. So I'm constantly hoping to find women whose attitudes could enforce that belief.

Hi, well the answer is a bit complex. Men/women only see the surface of what being a woman/man is (survival bias) so a lot of people will say wrong sentences like "I would be better in this position" but that's not true

So you don't need to take any complain seriousely, I don't do that either. I also don't think women should lower their standards or men should up their games. It's more about knowing better what each gender needs, because I think our needs are not as incompatible as we think

You start at the smallest scale you can(aka the people around you) and you make repeated small concessions where both parties agree upfront and repeat the cycle of small concessions only AFTER both sides have shown good faith, kicking the people who pretend to be good faith but don't actually make any concessions out of your circles. It has to be genuinely small stuff and it has to be at least somewhat equivalent concessions(according to both sides not what you decide is equivalent based on your values)

This might not sound like much but it's something we can simulate mathematically and that we can observe in reality and it just kind of takes over large scale systems even if it starts at a small scale because it simply gives too much of an advantage to the people in the "good faith" circle so it keeps growing over time.

I'm not targetting you specifically with this but I think where this goes wrong for women in general is that a lot of women don't realise just how poorly they treat the average man because a huge part of that shitty treatment stems from a genuine lack of empathy so they don't think they have any concessions to make. That's why modern feminism is on it's way out already.

And yes, I am singling out women because(and I've said this a thousand times on here) if you look at the last century or two, men's treatment of women has pretty much just improved across time while women's treatment of men has gone basically the opposite direction. It's not a "both sides" issue.

As far as you personally, maybe I'm misreading you but men have every reason to not trust women's STATED values so you have to accept that and be patient with small steps. It sucks for you but it probably sucks even more for men.

You shouldn’t, broadly speaking - the same way a “nice guy” should realize that women make themselves available to the shitty men they go on to complain about. No matter what people say, in the real world people complain about the exact behavior they actively incentivize with their choices. A man will ignore indicators that a woman will walk all over him, cheat, use him for money, etc if she’s attractive enough. A woman will engage in or condone hookup culture, then complain about being manipulated for sec or that guy N+1 won’t court her properly.

We’re in a race to the bottom, we no longer have any constructs that punish, shame, or prevent this cycle of degeneracy.
