You know that feeling after you sleep with a girl that you were genuinely stoked about for weeks or months but then immediately afterward you just have this feeling like "Yeah...I don't know about her...." You get a message on your phone, and it's her saying last night was great and she can't wait to meet again with lots of ☺️ emoji but the thought of meeting her again kind of makes you feel a low-key sense of dread so you ignore the messages for now and decide you'll figure out what to do about her later. Like the sudden flip that happens with optical illusions, stuff about her that was endearing before suddenly becomes annoying. Thinking back on the time you spent together, her cute, selfish side that made you want to spoil her now just seems like normal, run-of-the-mill selfishness in hindsight. Even though you were interested in what she was talking about at the time, now thinking back on it actually it was boring as hell - since when do you care about homemade pottery flea markets and korean dramas? Also, looking back at her pictures on your phone, were her nose and teeth always like that? I swear, they weren't like that before...

Take a moment to appreciate the fact that women do not experience this at all. That feeling is being able to see someone with clarity after you sleep with her is the mode that women are in at all times when judging men. If he's annoying, he's going to annoy her right from the start. If he's boring, she's going to feel bored right away. If he's dumb, she'll know it immediately.

Imagine you were cursed with such a thing as pre-nut clarity. Attractive women who are boring, or annoying, or dumb, or selfish actually seem like those things before you even sleep with them. Would you still be happy to wait the weeks or months a hot girl with these flaws wants you to wait before sex, even if it means enduring her without the rose-colored filter keeping you mostly unaware? This is the reality for women. They endure the men they date from the start. Because they don't have this filter shielding them, they generally care about more things than men do in order to make it to sex.

What that means is that the bar for Chad is higher than it is for Stacey. Chad may be physically attractive but he's a line cook whose only hobby is getting stoned and it's hard to even look into his eyes because a vast sense of vacancy stares back at you. If Chad were protected by a pre-nut rosy filter, none of these things would be problems. But he's not. Chad has to build up enough attraction to overcome all those things, because they're all dragging him down from the beginning.

And before you say "She doesn't care, he's hot so she'll want to sleep with him." Well, you could sleep with that girl you were excited about before but now it looks like is gonna be another ONS as well. Do you actually want to though? That's how she feels.
