I keep seeing posts in certain communities which say to never, NEVER share your sexual history with boyfriends, because it has caused those boyfriends to become disgusted and leave.

It would seem to me that if he is that easily repulsed by something that happened in the past, then the relationship is a ticking time bomb. He is not mature and something is going to make you hate him eventually anyway. It might be that, or it might be something else.

As a result, if you share your sexual history and a boyfriend reacts negatively, you should be happy that you found out that he's a petty, insecure loser. The epitome of a "LVM." If the relationship is good, and the man is confident and rational, he will be able to see that it is easily worth ignoring things in the past which make no difference.

Is there some situation in which a true "HVM" would leave a quality relationship exclusively because of your sexual history?
