The truth of the matter is both of the parties are obsessed with identity.

The republicans fear more about white race losing its stronghold hold over America. i.e., their worst fear is becoming a minority in USA because they know how they currently treat minorities and they don't want that same treatment.

The democrats are obsessed with skin color to the point that white liberals basically promote self hate to appease the black/brown idpol activists.

Kamala Harris was chosen because she truly has the track record of your typical liberal and has the skin composition that's not too black or too white. This is what identity poiltics really is. Cold hard calculated decision making to appease the clueless populace so that they don't question the elites and upper middle class ruling class living in their upscale enclaves with all the luxuries that money can buy.

To be fair, I don't think Kamala is unqualified. She absolutely is. And as long as she can keep from demonizing men more than the left already does, I think she'll do great.

It's the fact that Biden decided he was going to pick a woman before even considering the candidates.

THAT is identity politics.

If he would have simply picked her without the previous fanfare that he was going yo select a woman VP, there would be no problem. It could easily be argued she was the best candidate. But her had to sour that by announcing his intentions beforehand. Now it looks like she only got it because she's a woman. A black woman is just icing on the idpol cake.

And yes, you are correct that Trump went out looking for a religious figure to be VP to strengthen the Christian right. That is equally disgusting.

I dunno what people mean when they say incel. The ones I know arent hitting on girls, and talking about how ugly or fat they are. And the ones who cope out are putting the effort, they just arent forthcoming on actually talking about what they did because people tend to move the goal post saying you did x y z wrong.

All the while they are putting more effort then most guys who have already gotten a first date.

And if you do everythign they tell you to do, that women can tell you arent confident.

At no point is it ever enough. At no point will someone tell you, you have put in way more effort and thought then I have in getting a date. You deserve to have someone more then me. Life is unfair and people dont get what they deserve.

Because everyone needs to believe they deserve to have the person they are with.

The Case was because the Sun called him Wife beater so it's directly linked with DV nonetheless. It's not that he isn't innocent. Despite my huge doubts, i have to go with what the judge decided for now at least. For a matter of fact a feminist claims it to be a victory for DV victims (well yes if the victims are women), because apparantly depp tried to silence her and so on. Is this really what some guys think?
Speaking from my personal experience(ik this is just anecdote), before I met my fiance I was desperately looking for a guy who's a virgin like myself and I didn't even expect half those things you listed. Literally just wanted a guy that was intelligent enough to have conversations about things like philosophy, values(it's super important that their values match mine) and be fine with waiting until marriage and ideally allow me to be a housewife. Yes it's also important that I find them attractive, but I don't think there's anything intrinsically wrong with that. Especially since I'd compromise on certain traits I really preferred(I prefer men that are slim to average build, but if a guy has a little extra fat, I won't just reject him for that). Keep in mind this is the experience of a socially awkward black woman who had to look online for a relationship. I think lookswise I'm average but I've had people call me beautiful and ugly so its quite subjective imo.

Women don't "date" chad. Some girls like to party with chad. Almost all women have some fantasies about chad, at least in their teens.

There are women who realize they are merely Becky, have moderate to low self-esteem, body insecurities, and feel lonely. They feel icky about casual sex and short term relations. They are not "party girls". They don't like feeling like a spot-light is shining on them. They would not like chad with turned-up nose looking at their pasty stomach, small or sagging breasts, and stretch marks. They are not pursuing powerful office careers. These are all the women (some of them virgins) that incels could be with, if they could make these women feel valuable.

The trick is; incels are too socially awkward to accomplish this. And incels are hardly "prices" themselves.

So it's sad and tragic.

Gays just meet up and fuck. There are virtually no incels among gays. If a gay guy can't get laid with guys his age (which rarely happens anyway) he can go for older guys. A straight guy who gets rejected by girls his age will get rejected by older women just as surely.

I once talked to a gay guy and he said he "hadn't had sex for a long time, almost two months". Straight men can go for years without sex, decades or indeed a lifetime. Might partially explain why STDs are more common among gays.

If you use an OLD that allows you to set what gender you are looking for - you can try and set "men and women" and you'll soon start getting dms to that very same profile of yours. Only from men of course. Funny enough, a lot of guys have only ever been approached by other guys.

Women outnumber gays drastically, but as an average male you'll get orders of magnitude more attention from gays than from women (from women you will probably get none at all).

Imo a significant portion of men who have sex with men are not gay or even bi, rather, straight men going for other men out of despair, just like a lot of basically straight people (including women) in prison begin taking part in same-sex relationships.

I am a mid-tier normie guy and modern dating is hard for me. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for lower-tier normies or incels.

I am in my 30s now but over the years, I have put myself out there by approaching thousands of women. I worked out a ton and put on 20-25 lbs of muscle (I am 6'2'' but was skinny before). I make six figures now but it took a decade of grueling jobs, grad school, student loans, all that jazz. I do better today than I did a decade ago, but I still do worse in relationships than my good-looking friends did a decade ago (or now).

Many PPD women make it seem like being "put together" as a guy comes down to basic hygiene. Maybe if the guy has a great starting point. I was poor, skinny-fat, and average-looking (my height saved me). It took three years of working out and progressively testing photos to go on my first Tinder date.

Reducing incels' experiences to social anxiety or bad hygiene is a gross mischaracterization.

My point is that "putting yourself out there" is not half the battle. It's maybe 10% of the battle.

In my early twenties I was extremely social. I went out every weekend, Friday and Saturday night, for almost two years in a row. Clubs, bars, houseparties, meeting friends of friends. I often went several months without a date. I did not have a girlfriend the entire time, not for lack of trying.

It took a lot of self-improvement to get to the point where I was regularly going on dates, and even now I frequently have dry streaks or potential partners that lose interest or flake.

Of course incels cannot solve their problem by laying down and rotting. But the incel discussion is completely different if "putting yourself out there" increases your odds of success not from 0% to 50%, but 0% to 1%.

As an aside, learning about incels and the blackpill led to the greatest boost in my dating life, as it made me take care of my diet, skin care, and fitness, rather than focus on approaching or being super social. In hindsight I wish I had not spent so much of my early 20s living an unhealthy lifestyle to keep "putting myself out there". I think the blackpill and "looksmax" culture is valuable for guys even if they disagree with the incel viewpoint.

For diet and fitness, I started an IIFYM approach for weight loss, and started weighing all of my food. I got on a proper workout program with a progression scheme. Reverse pyramid training worked great for me, I recommend it highly. It's funny but I started taking it seriously after reading TRP, and when I got to 12% body fat, I had more one-night stands that summer than the past 12-18 months put together. Could be coincidence?

For skin care, I saw a dermatologist. It turns out that I had inflammed skin from shaving too close for years. Got on a skin care regimen of regular exfoliation, plus prescription BHA creams to lighten the dark spots. Started wearing sunscreen every day. I would say I have worn sunscreen 95% of days for the past 3-4 years. My skin looks way better and it really shows in photos.

I responded to another commenter regarding managing expectations and I think that's important. Society does not do a great job of this and social media only highlights "success stories" in the dating world. PPD could be that space that sets realistic expectations but there are so many comments like "women can sense your defeatist attitude" or "take a shower and get out of the basement." That sets an expectation that having a positive outlook and basic hygiene is sufficient, which is absolutely not the case for average guys. I think it's up to normies like me to show what a typical person's dating life is like, because incels learn about horror-show outcomes through each other and amazing outcomes through the media.

Yes everyone experiences dumping, dry streaks, or flaking, but the magnitudes are just completely different. Using my personal life as an anecdote, I have had several 9-12 month periods of sexlessness throughout my twenties. This was a shocking number to my high-tier normie friends. For them, 2-3 months was a disaster. There's a big gap between mid-tier normies and high-tier normies. I have some Chad friends too and while I don't know about their sex lives as intimately, they get approached at Whole Foods and keep a rotation of girls from online or elsewhere, so I suspect there's a large gap between the high-tier normies and Chads.

As an analogy, everyone struggles with money, but for some people, the Lamborghini is a bit of a stretch so they buy the Porsche instead. For others, a new Honda is a bit much so they go for pre-owned. For another set entirely, they take the bus. All three groups will tell you they have money problems, and they are not wrong, but magnitudes matter.

When non-virgin incels say things like "I have had sex before but in the past 5 years nothing, it's over", that doesn't jump out to me as unreasonable.

Women use this cop out to subtract from their n-count.

If you go to a guys place at 2am, what do you think is going to happen? You think you were gonna play cards?

Situations like this is more of a case of “I regret it” or “he ghosted me” — then the women hamster that “I didn’t enthusiastically consent” so she can remove it for her n-count.

But let me play devils advocate. For a given woman, how many cases like what you described would happen to a given woman? Cases where women go to a guys place and allegedly “say no” quietly and then still have sex?

According to the women in the FDS thread, it seems like every single sexual encounter they’ve had is like that. Theyve been “raped” 20+ times by 20+ different men? Like I said, it’s a bullshit cop out.

The first time I went home with my husband I told him I wanted the night to continue but didn't want sex. If he had tried it anyway would they be rape? How much effort does a woman need to apply to stopping a sexual encounter for something to be considered rape?

Of course, all of this is obviated by acquiring enthusiastic consent. No gray area if that is the norm. I'm reassured to see that young women more and more are demanding that as a standard.

(I acknowledge that women sleep with guys and regret it. I acknowledge that some of those women may then accuse the man of rape afterward. That's not what I'm talking about here)

See /u/billyblowjob ? This is the kind of attitude I was talking about. Where anything short of a stranger rape and / or use of violence is not a "legitimate rape" - it becomes less a matter of whether or not so sent is obtained and more a matter of what the woman did or didn't do to being on or prevent the attack.
