Trying to get some honest perspectives on this subject from all sides, because I run into the same thing a lot in my dating life where men I date kind of half-ass our relationship then spoil and commit to the next woman.

I can provide some information on myself for the sake of an example but mostly I want to hear what the general differences are between the ladies men value and the ladies they don't when everything on paper could be considered equal.

From most perspectives I seem to fall into a high value category (good job, attractive and aging well, fit, nerdy, good family, well dressed, cool hobbies, friendly, supportive, emotionally stable, have standards and opinions, growth oriented, patient, adventurous, reliable, playful/funny, responsible, hornball, good listener, confident, great social circle, etc etc,) but that's not how I'm getting treated when dating. My exes usually seem to coast with me despite being super compatible, then go hard for the next woman with gifts, trips, affection, lifelong commitment, etc. When I asked the men I've dated about this phenomenon, they hit me with, "I don't know but you're a great woman, there's someone out there for you." which is about as helpful as you can imagine.

Is there a difference for men or is it all timing? Is it an inexplicable sensation or something she does? What makes a potential partner stand out as deserving better treatment?
