My cousin's son is trying to get a reality show with 3 of my female cousins. I always remembered they were funny. However few years ago when I visited that it was like watching a never ending Queens of Comedy Show. There is nothing off topic but they aren't racist and don't punch down. My lungs hurt from laughing. I really hope he'll be able to bring it to production. Just follow them around. The world is their material.

I had an ex that got visibly jealous after I made the whole room laugh with a one-liner. He was literally upset at me afterwards that I got everyone to laugh.

He was really into comedy and stand-up as well. I thought he would enjoy the fact I could make people laugh, not get jealous and upset about it.

It was honestly the weirdest reaction ever from a dude.

I love going on this sub knowing I'll be hit with knowledge while I laugh my ass off unlike men trying to be funny.

I always feel dumber after hearing another random stream of consciousness from another skid mark, pausing once in a while to prod some reaction out of me. If anything I need a pause from you ladies to catch my breath after all this hyena yelping.

Women are absolutely funnier than men. Our humor tends to be observational and witty. Men's tends to be bathroom humor, sexist, or punching down. Look at famous comedians and see how all the men tell the same jokes about the "old ball and chain" or talking about their penis.

Every time I hang out with other women we end up cry-laughing and feeling a genuine emotional connection. I've never had to awkwardly force myself to laugh or call out someone for inappropriate jokes when I'm with other women.

I remember one poster here describing a guy she dated as a 'centaur' because his eyes were really far apart on the sides of his face like a horse.

If you look at majority of subreddits dominated by males, the jokes are rarely original and imaginative at best.

At worst, it often is very vulgar, disturbing and devoid of empathy/humanity. If you call them out on it, they gaslight you by calling you sensitive or it’s just a joke.

The scrotes all were cloned from the same factory, so of course their jokes are recycled and repetitive asf.

I think it’s a massive compliment that they don’t think we’re funny. We don’t want to appeal to their nvm sense of humour.

I'll never forget this for as long as I live - women think men who make them laugh are funny. Men think women that laugh at their jokes are funny and have a sense of humor.

They mean women won't validate their ego by laughing at their jokes, which is one reason I never fake laugh if I can avoid it (with customers and managers it's not always possible, but they're usually well meaning at least).

They also can't stand to see women find humor in things they don't, including LVM. It's funny they say female comedians are "unrelatable". Yeah, only to YOU, Brandon. Now you know how women feel at every peen joke, p*rn joke, and "wife bad" joke.

Men only don’t find us funny because we don’t set out to be funny for them. They are too simple to get jokes that aren’t about their shared experiences as MEN. A lot of men’s comedy is at the expense of women, their wives, or their children. When woman make the same sort of jokes, it’s found too be too feminist in nature and men get defensive.

Every time a guy mentions “sense of humor” or “dark humor” on OLD you can pretty much be sure he’s looking for someone who won’t call out his shitty sexist/racist/creepy jokes. Everyone has a sense of humor for fuck’s sake… everyone has their way to perceive what’s funny, so why the need to point it out? “Having a sense of humor” just sounds like a code for “will fake laugh at my jokes no matter if they’re funny and will let me get away with ‘It was just a joke, don’t be so serious’ every time I say something shitty to her”

If you take away racist, sexist, homophobic jokes from male comedians, they don’t have much of anything else left. Men that aren’t funny take offense when you are the funny one. Oh and he repeats things you say and if he’s nuts, he’ll repeat it back to you eventually. Had one that would get so mad when men (especially attractive ones) would giggle during random interactions with me. They were the idiots that giggle like school girls according to him. They’ll go out of their way to not laugh at things you find funny or anything you say. He’ll be the only person that doesn’t find you funny, out of everyone you know. It’s because men like that only laugh at prank shows or South Park. But he’ll flip the script and say “no, you are the one that isn’t funny, all my friends think I’m funny.” You laugh and say yea, because you reference South Park/Family Guy, I have a different sense of humor. 🤷🏻‍♀️Men like that even use crappy memes and are a real life Quagmire. If it makes you feel better, you can laugh knowing you got to them and made them feel like the bowl of oatmeal that they truly are, because how else do you think it’s funny to hump the air or say “giggity giggity.” Also, they have a onesie or a Star Wars robe. Seriously wtf. The jokes write themselves.

I think women are hilarious. You ladies crack me up on a daily basis and I LOL on the reg when I’m listening to the FDS podcast. My girlfriends and female colleagues regularly make me snort with laughter.

I know I’m funny, and I’ve had exes and ex-male “friends” flat out tell me I’m not funny or get upset when I make jokes. Funny enough, those are the same men who proclaim that women aren’t funny and then proceed to make some sexist or racist “joke” and then get upset when I don’t laugh.

Why is being funny such a big deal to LVM that they have to turn it into a pissing contest against women? Why do they feel so mad and threatened that women can be funny?

And I personally don’t even like really funny men. I don’t mean the ones who crack jokes with just their friends, I mean the type of men who has to crack jokes with everyone no matter who they are or how little they know them. My child molester was like this and he would make people laugh to get their guard down so that they won’t notice when something he says or does was super inappropriate. Pass them off as “jokes” to make it seem okay. Hell, he even “joked” about k-lling me if I ever reported him (which I did, anyway). I even had a female authority figure creep on me and she was known by red for being hilarious. Funny people are a HUGE red flag.
