OMG lol! This reminds me of 2 instances from my past:

Back in high school I had a guy friend who I liked as more than a friend. One day he confessed and it went something like this: "I'm into you and would like you to be my girlfriend. I like both you and [other girl] but [other girl] has been friends with me longer and I don't want to ruin it with her or make it weird. So I pick you." 🥴 ohmygod ladies, did you hear that? He picked me. I WAS PICKED!!!! Yeah, I rejected his ass and stopped having feelings for him.
There was this ugly dude who had a girlfriend (!!!!!!!1!) and would text me a lot "as a friend". I had low self esteem at the time (actually it was nonexistent entirely) so I enjoyed our conversations and flirting, it was an ego boost of sorts. I wasn't actually into him. One day he tried to make himself seem so much more valuable by being "scarce" and told me he'd stop texting me for about a week or so because he didn't want his girlfriend to start suspecting anything. But he'd be back (yay! I should be honored 🥴). I literally deadpanned "okay" and he threw a fit, saying I was so cold and how he can't believe I didn't give a shit. lol!!!

Point is, these men don't like you. You exist to validate them and that's it.
