Personally, it grosses me out. If a man has to prime himself by saying filthy and derogatory things to me during a moment of intimacy, instead of just being present with me and the physical feelings and emotional connection we are sharing, he is automatically low value in my eyes. It's not only distracting and jarring if you aren't expecting it, it's grossly disrespectful to a woman's vulnerability. Exactly what is loving about calling your partner a whore? Are we using that word as a compliment now? Am I supposed to feel safe and loved, now that you've made it clear you want to "destroy" my pussy?

It's almost like it's a deliberate strategy by LVM to make a woman feel slightly disgusted and unsafe, to take away her feelings of connection in that moment, and take her pleasure down a few notches. How can a woman not feel, at the very least, distracted by being called derogatory names during an act where she is at her most vulnerable? Especially when it seems like he's just reciting porn dialogue?

Unless a woman has specifically requested dirty talk in bed, just shut the fuck up, men. It isn't sexy, it's dehumanising and awkward, and you're embarrassing us both. Keep your skidmarks and your dirty talk out of my clean and high thread count sheets.

Okay, so what say you, ladies? How do you feel about it when a man calls you dirty names in bed? Or, gives you a play-by-play of the festivities in the most explicit language he can muster?
