I told my ex about the realities of childbirth and the fact that I wouldn’t be able to have sex for 6-8 weeks. This was all hypothetical since I was not pregnant (thank God). We did discuss marriage and children often though. He acted like it was the worst thing he had ever heard! I had to remind him that my vagina could rip to my anus during labor and he was still more concerned about his dick lmao. I feel sorry for whoever ends up with him.

As a women you just actually can’t win with men EVER. If you’re single, you have men telling you that you are worthless etc., if you’re in a long term relationship you’re stuck babying a man child and being a forever girlfriend, if you’re pregnant you straight up have 2 kids and as you mentioned have the risk of your partner cheating after they got you pregnant, and if you’re married you run the risk of dying early from all the misery 🤷♀️🥶.

[–]baby--bunnyAt-Risk Pick Me Youth27 points28 points29 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I feel like that was a huge reason I was terrified to get pregnant when I was younger.. I was worried that if / when I got pregnant, it would be some sort of biological thing where his dick looked at me and thought "Well we can't get her double pregnant, she's useless, let's find someone else for now." Weirdly the opposite has happened, in my third trimester his sex drive has just shut off, and we were joking that there's no reason for him to have a sex drive for the next few months anyway.

I hate that women are pressured into sex before they are ready. I haven't had children, but from what I've heard most women need months before they're ready. You most likely tore your vagina, even to your anus, and some LV abuser wants sex??
Not only that, but if women can't "perform", the man expects fellatio.
We don't have to do anything. Why would I participate in sex acts that give me no pleasure? And I'm wearing an incontinence/ bleeding diaper??? Lies.

When a man actually takes care of the Baby and the housework after the wife gives birth, he will be too tired to even think about sex for the first few weeks. My husband and I didnt have any thoughts about sex in the first 2 months. Even when I was completely healed we didnt have penetrative sex the first two times because he was worried about me. The poor women who are forced into having sex too early because their scrote "needs" it.

Good lord! Pregnancy has never seemed worth it to me but knowing all the other health issues that can occur has definitely made me realize I never want to be pregnant. I’ve learned more about pregnancy on Reddit than I ever did in school.
[–]evil_mom79FDS Newbie8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Pregnancy and childbirth are so romanticized in North America, it's ridiculous. The majority of women only find out the realities of it when they go through it themselves. That's crazy to me. If you tell an expecting mother that she's going to bleed for weeks (if not months) after the birth, that she will have incontinence issues (possibly for life), or that laying down is not the best position to give birth for her or her child (it's just more convenient for the doctor), chances are she will be shocked, because she didn't know.
FYI, lots of women say "if I knew what it was really like, I probably wouldn't have done it".

Same. Having kids is a BIG decision. I can't imagine having kids with someone who didn't respect me or even with a guy I wouldn't be with for the rest of my life... Like nah...
I stopped telling older women/conservative women that I don't want kids. All they say is "you will one day".... Blah blah blah biological clock🙄
[–]desertedstreetsFDS Newbie13 points14 points15 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What is with majority of guys wanting kids more than women and then doing the bare minimum to raise them?! And by that I mean putting in effort comparable to that of mothers although they will never be able to match up even if they tried. I fail to grasp the logic behind this. If I want a human being to the point of bringing it into this world I would help raise it in whatever way I possibly can at the very least. Or they shouldn't want kids if they can't be bothered.
[–]CanConfirm_WasThereFDS Newbie8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I feel that a lot of men want kids because it is the most permanent way to tie yourself to a woman. It makes it so much harder to leave and if you do leave, you're still linked over things like custody and child support. I highly doubt most men want kids for the sake of getting to have kids. It just solidifies their control

Why would I participate in sex acts that give me no pleasure?
THIS!!!!! I just want to reiterate this for the men in the back!!! I’ve said this to multiple low value ass men who don’t seem to understand this.
[–]2340000Ruthless Strategist15 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Of course because everything is about them.
I ain't doing jack-squat unless I get pleasure too. That means only doing things I want to do/actively participate in. Having sex requires that I feel sexy, and it won't happen unless I feel that way. There was a post here about maintenance sex. How many women feel beholden to maintenance sex after childbirth?
Sidenote: One of the things I hated about my ex was his habitual negation of my agency/ ignoring my consent. It was my first relationship, and this LV trash would assault me, coerce me places under the premise of innocent gestures, and just take it way too far before I wanted to, before I had a chance to say no. I think this is a factor in many women's choice to use maintenance sex. I read about a woman who had just given birth and her husband raped her. There seems to be 2 choices with LVM, reluctantly agree or be raped when they're agitated. Disgusting.

Many doctors still offer the “husband stitch” - an extra stitch when they’re sewing back your TORN VAGINAL TISSUE so that you’ll feel tighter during sex. I don’t have children but several women friends have told me this story. One friend’s (male) doctor did not consult her at all; he asked HER HUSBAND.

producing breast milk puts your hormones out of whack for at least a year. a side effect of breastfeeding is vaginal dryness, so your body can heal after the trauma/discourage you from getting pregnant so soon again. pregnancy hormones take 2 YEARS to even out/go back to a new normal. meanwhile, LV/NVM are pushing women to have sex after 6-8 weeks when women are breastfeeding every 3-4 hours, healing, and trying to bond with the babies they spent the better part of a year risking their lives to grow and birth.
men are rarely appreciative or aware of the sacrifices women make to our brains and bodies to bear THEIR children. and this is why a majority of men don't deserve the honor of doing so.

Not just that you're not supposed to get pregnant again for at least a year because your uterus isn't healed, it's not strong enough to carry another birth so soon. I mean women do it but usually have to be on bed rest so they don't have the baby early

I don’t know if this is an accident.
I read a book detailing how continual breastfeeding was an ancient form of birth control. It was absolutely crucial because a woman getting pregnant while raising a baby or toddler would have been extremely risky for all of them.

[–]skyerippaFDS Newbie55 points56 points57 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
This why I’ll never have kids because I KNOW I will be. I truly don’t believe there is any man out there that will actually step up the plate to be 50/50 with me as a father. I don’t deserve that and a kid doesn’t deserve that either
[–]just_takin_the_dFDS Apprentice12 points13 points14 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
100% me too. People think I hate kids because I'm childfree. No - it's literally because I will never trust a man enough to put my life in his hands that I don't want kids.
Being pregnant and having a child is the most vulnerable time for a woman. Men of my generation have proven they are completely selfish, think what OP posted, and abuse their pregnant or just-given-birth wives! And, if you manage to get through this, he'll dump you anyways because you "let yourself go" e.g. women's bodies go through hell with pregnancy and don't always "bounce back". I wish r/childfree would talk more on these issues instead of saying children are hellspawn.

This reminds me of a dreadful story I read here on Reddit once, from a guy who was teased a lot because he was only ten months younger than his brother. When he was old enough to understand, he was pretty upset and embarrassed, so he asked his mom about it. She said simply, “Your father couldn’t wait.” And that was the day he learned that his father had raped his mother weeks after she gave birth to his brother. 🙁
It’s so saddening how prevalent this seems to be.

My first husband was literally cheating on me while I was giving birth and then had the nerve to show up to the hospital and pick a fight with me. The nurses had him thrown out. I knew right then looking at my baby that bitch had to go. Everyone said I was crazy that I needed him and I couldn't do it alone, they were wrong. It is easier taking care of a newborn alone than with a selfish prick who only cares about themselves.
[–][deleted] 68 points69 points70 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
My ex was overseas for most of the pregnancy and we didn’t move with him till she was about four months old. He was home for about two weeks when she was born. Those months of just me and a newborn and no one else to be responsible for were heaven. People thought I was being the tough military wife but I wasn’t - it was just so nice to be on our own routine and not to try to accommodate his needs and schedule.
[–]greenappletwFDS Apprentice31 points32 points33 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wow that's extremely eye opening and sad for us all.
Now I'm thinking of all the stress around having a baby that originates from men: needing to "bounce back" asap physically, worrying about cooking and cleaning for another judgemental adult, worrying about his emotions and and how he's boding with the baby, worrying about if he's one of those men that act out after birth because he lost your attention, worrying about sex and birth control, etc.
There was a r/relationships thread a few years ago that disgusted me to the core. The OP was upset that her husband was complaining about feeling neglected. Comments were FULL of men and women telling her how much harder it is for men to adjust after the baby is born and telling her to accommodate him a lot more, with pseudoscience to back it up. Absolutely disgusting.

They honestly make me vomit. So sorry that happened to you. These type of men are pornsick lost vultures. No wonder birth rates are dropping so sharp....its not even like men like this are rare.
Whats even scarier is....you could take all the caution in the world...but you can't stop them dropping their mask and disrespecting you like that. And many of them wait until the woman is pregnant and vulnerable to truly start taking the piss. If they're going to do it....they will and you can't stop them....and yet WOMEN are constantly told they should 'make better choices' and not 'put up with BS' as if its all down to that and not mens behaviour.....yet so many men act like this and drop their mask at some point. Often years in after them convincing us they're HVM. Why are we expected to be mindreaders that can see into the future if we have already taken caution and vetted a man.....but he turns out like this? Why are we shamed for becoming single mothers if husbands do this to their pregnant WIVES and yet if we stay ....we are shamed by men for putting up with it. You can't win either way.
They just hate smart women who are able to see through them and won't take it. They call us jaded because we refuse to put up with disrespect. And yet its the single mothers who catch the flack when their husbands fangs comes out.

The way I was treated after labor caused irreparable harm to our relationship. In addition to forcing me home before I was ready after a c-section, making me go house shopping the first week home, preparing me incredibly small portions because he wanted me to get my figure back (while breastfeeding.. he served me half of a bowl of cereal. I will never forgive him for that), going on a fishing trip on my due date with the next one, never taking a single day off for the birth of our children, insisting on Friday C-section deliveries so he didn't have to take time off (with one being scheduled at 36 weeks to meet that exact criteria, my baby had jaundice and was undeveloped at birth because he was pulled too early for convenience) among so many other things.... These things cannot be made up for, they cannot be forgiven, they cannot be forgotten. I am mad at myself for allowing it.

Seriously? A fishing trip on your due date, but no allotment of PTO set aside for when you may have naturally went into labor? Crazy! Ugh! Men do not get a free pass to intentionally plan not taking care of their newborn just because the mother is there. Ridiculous.

Women have a bunch of stuff available to them to get rid of a child before a man even knows she's pregnant with it. A woman actually choosing to have your baby, ALLOWING you to reproduce, is a privilege. Unfortunately, a lot of men don't even deserve the privilege of reproducing.

This shit happens all the time. Guys can't wait for their girl to heal mentally and physically, and either cheat or turn to porn (also cheating in my eyes). Of course, finding out about this behaviour after such a major change (your body is different, your life is different, you don't sleep, you don't even have time or energy to bathe sometimes), causes irreparable damage to the relationship. I honestly have a very negative feelings regarding my own pregnancy, birth, and newborn stage due to how my baby daddy acted during that time. In my case, having my son brought me a lot of clarity and I realized I didn't need my baby daddy's sexual attention in order to feel valued anymore. And thank God, or else my self esteem would be in the dumps.
[–]Cobmobster21FDS Newbie22 points23 points24 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Just don’t depend on him to feel valued too much. There are some women that have kids because they know the child has no choice but to love them because baby daddy doesn’t. That’s how some women treat their sons like their man, which is not fair to the child.

Oh I see how my post could read like that! I don't depend on my son for that validation, either. I get it from myself :) I do have to watch my attachment to my son, I don't want it to become toxic in any way, as many of my attachments have been in the past. One of my aunt's told me when I was pregnant, "having a baby is amazing! It's the only creature on earth that will love you unconditionally!" And I thought.... YIKES, that is not a good reason to have kids lol
[–]ruby_radmuppetFDS Apprentice4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nope, that is the mindset my mother had. She had seven of us, one after another, as soon as we got old enough to talk back she went on to the next baby and left us neglected and love starved.
You don't bring a baby into the world to get love, you have one to give love. It's an incredible thing in itself.

I have a girlfriend whose husband did this shit to her. She now has 2 kids that are 11 months apart because not only did he demand sex, but he demanded it without a condom. She left him finally, but this shit is straight up ABUSE.

Smh reminds me of a guy I used to be friends with. Not even a month after his girlfriend gave birth, he was hitting up old exes to see who’d take the bait and started cheating on the mother of his children. His logic was that if he’s taking care of the household financially and doing his main part at home, then it’s not wrong. He also justified it because he was waiting for her to be ready, but in the meantime he had needs. The nerve.

Do you know how depraved you have to be to not be willing to go without sex for a couple months? I could easily do that (seeing as I’m celibate) and without any masturbation. Shoot I could do that for a year+ with no sexual stimulation at all. Something is incredibly wrong with someone who is that reliant and dependent on sex or masturbation.
[–]Logicalidiot16 points17 points18 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ugh. Why are men like this? And better yet why are we as women expected to deal with this fuckery?
[–]BabyGotBantzPickmeisha™️18 points19 points20 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He needs to get the fuck out then. Lovemaking is a privilege someone you love does with you and it's enjoyable because you love each other and want to make each other feel good. It's not just ME STICK PEE PEE IN HOLE ME FEEL GOOD. I don't even think they realize how unfulfilling that kind of sex really is.
If you want to make your pee-pee feel good buy a sex toy, you whiny little bitch.
You're better off raising one child on your own instead of two. He should be getting up with you to do bottles and diapers and feedings so he should be too tired for sex if he's really helping you raise your child and support your family

A good friend of mine had a baby 9 months ago. It was an emergency c section and all of her abdominal muscles are still in so much pain she has difficult standing up straight or laying in certain positions. She can’t do anything physical. Holding her baby causes her pain. Her bf has been so patient during all of this. He had mentioned it being difficult for both of them. Real men don’t walk away from the mother of their children for sexual needs. I’ve had so many friends get cheated on while pregnant and I’m Like “you couldn’t keep your dick dry for 9 whole months?!?! Really? After a lifetime of body changes she is going through for his child.”
Men who cheat on the mothers of their children have a cold place in hell waiting for them. Pathetic.

This was my ex best friend. She was 3 days post partum with stitches before her low life boyfriend started complaining that she could at least give him a bj. We aren't friends anymore because I couldn't watch the train wreck any longer.

There's a reason they call it the 4th trimester (which I know is a misnomer) but your body needs another 3 months to heal and level out.

The moment she said have a baby for him. Made me sad for her. A baby is for you is shouldn’t be for a sperm donor.

My biological father went on a trip when my bio-mother gave birth bc he was “so stressed out.” His bio-dad did the same pathetic ass loser move when my birth dad was born.
Both left teenage mothers to cope for themselves, and when my brother came along, I babysat him after school for YEARS until my birth dad decided to come back, that POS.
I will say, though, raising my baby bro was one of the best things I have ever done.
I just wish that we had completely different parents. Completely different.
I’m the white sheep of the family. I don’t even associate with the black sheep anymore - it’s a hot mess of religious zealousness, MRA behavior, Narcissistic assholes, and sexual, physical, soul, mental, and emotional abusers.

When my aunt was in labor with my cousin the baby daddy decided to go to a boat show in another state. She had to drive herself to the hospital while having labor pains. A few years after my cousin was born they finally broke up. He tried to get full custody of my cousin just to hurt my aunt.

Oh just wait until you hear my story. My ex, when I was in the hospital after having our baby.. left to “go on a blunt ride” (and see his other girlfriend) then came back and asked me if I wanted a shot of vodka to celebrate the baby.. while I was breastfeeding and on hard medication. 🙄 Thank god I found my way out of that one and am married to a HVM now :)

I don’t trust any man enough to consider having his last name or his child. My dad gave me his last name when I was born, so I’m not nameless. Men are soul destroyers, and then to add having his wide-shouldered baby just for him to cheat? No ma’am.
[–]desertedstreetsFDS Newbie8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fr tho! I don’t really like my last name but my kids aren’t having their dad’s last name nor am I taking his last name. It’d be easier to divorce him if I didn’t take his last name too.

I have 3 kids and i would say the best is to wait from 3 to 6 months, you are in risk of infection, stroke, permanent damages or incontinence in future... anyway you sleep so little the first months that you are exhausted and the same for the man if he is helping correctly. any man who insist in sex too early or doesnt help properly is a negative value man that is better to dump soonest as possible🙄
