I'm really proud of this woman for leaving the situation. In the comments there are so many men telling her to stay. She basically said nope. He got someone pregnant and put her health at risk!

Would they say if their girl got pregnant by another man?

Sassy: I didn't think so.

[–]InayahDaneenFDS Newbie17 points18 points19 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly ! They would never stay if their wife got pregnant by another man.

The name after the @ is the permanent URL, so google that. Her profile will come right up. Then scroll down to that date and click on her post. You'll see a thread of responses underneath it.

Be warned though, the responses will make you want to stab your eye out with a fork.

This plus the whole "women only like sex when it's emotional" is a whole thing about women not being able to just physically like to have sex.

[–]whatismedicineFDS Newbie8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think they get confused because some women (like me) have difficulty orgasming from sex with someone they don’t have a good emotional connection with, so they assume you don’t like having sex otherwise. They dumb.

Today I saw a tweet about how woman “should think twice before acting under anger” talking about women who leave their bf when they cheat. They’re delusional, he cheats and SHE is the one who needs to think twice before acting? Come on.

[–]WillingBeingFDS Newbie112 points113 points114 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is such an excellent point. It’s always the woman’s responsibility to behave rationally - and then be labeled hysterical and overly-emotional if she expresses even a hint of anger.

[–]greenappletwFDS Apprentice80 points81 points82 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Behave rationally aka give him time to manipulate you

Women are taught from birth to disregard their own instincts for a reason.

[–]FitncurlyFDS Apprentice21 points22 points23 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Our instincts are powerful and men know that, hence why we are told not to trust them.

[–]AdawritesrulesFDS Disciple8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This happens a lot with Cumbrians. You are being CRAZY they tell us when our instincts are warning us that he’s a trash bag.

[–]radical__daphneRuthless Strategist42 points43 points44 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The only times I ever fucked up were when I went back on my first inclination and thought twice. I can honestly say I never walked out too early, it was always later than it should have been and I could trace it back to the first time that I wanted to leave but didn't since I didn't want to "overreact".

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same here. I have never overreacted, ever. If anything, I have seriously underreacted and consistently doubted myself when I should have already been out the door. So have all my girlfriends. We never have "I fucked up and overreacted" conversations. It's always "Am I crazy to tolerate this?" conversations.

[–]BovvsetteFDS Disciple5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly, it's very natural to get angry and upset when someone you shared vows with to be emotionally attached to for life, betrays you. She acted very rationally too, he breached their contract, so she won't keep her end of the bargain either. Everything in the world operates like this.

Did the scrotes expect a happy reaction like: ”Oh don't worry, sweetie, cheating is totally fine! In fact I do it all the time too, I'm not even sure the children are yours, haha silly me, happens to everyone, you knocked someone up out of wedlock as well? We have so much in common! It must be true love, yay, till death do us part!”. I doubt they'd be very happy with that, say man is overreacting for being upset and wanting to break up. So what's wrong when a woman is hurt by betrayal and wants to end things with a cheater? Disgusting double standard. Women are ”emotional” for not tolerating male bullshit. Being called ”hysterical”, ”emotional” and ”overreacting” are actually compliments, you have enough self-respect to not accept shit.

[–]DazzlingMolasses7FDS Newbie745 points746 points747 points 6 years ago* (23 children) | Copy Link

I believe I’m seeing a worldwide uprising of women now saying

No we don’t want to suck it up and take your shit anymore. We’d rather be alone

And men are getting SO mad. It makes me proud of fellow women. Keep up the good work.

[–]WillingBeingFDS Newbie333 points334 points335 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The deepest irony is that we’re doing exactly what men said we should: Have self-respect, make better choices, be picky, don’t financially rely on men, earn our own income, etc.

Us doing these very things has exposed the shifting sands of misogyny - and how often we’re actually being told to stay with abusive men and NOT have standards.

[–]DJSparksalotFDS Newbie80 points81 points82 points 6 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

Women are Schrodinger's Box of sorts to men. Both deserving to be used and discarded by being too available, & man hating extremist femi**zis for not being available simultaneously.

Hm. It's almost like they just have 0 respect for women and it has nothing to do with how we act.

[–]DazzlingMolasses7FDS Newbie29 points30 points31 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Once I figured out you can’t win with men anyways I stopped caring and did what I thought is right.

[–]RNSWFDS Newbie32 points33 points34 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My husband always wanted me to stand up for myself - unless I was doing it with him.

When other people treated me like shit, he felt bad for me. When he treated me like shit, he had no idea why I had a problem with his behavior.

[–]throwmefaraway85FDS Newbie115 points116 points117 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've seen this a lot more recently....I don't know if it's because the online spaces I'm a part of now highlight these stories, or if there actually is a shift happening. Most of the women in my life are still "pickmes". But I really hope it's the latter!!

[–]DazzlingMolasses7FDS Newbie26 points27 points28 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Most women are still pickmes but it’s pretty obvious to me there’s a huge movement and it’s too big to stop now. Women have changed a LOT in the last 10-20 years while men haven’t changed much. And it keeps going.

[–]AdawritesrulesFDS Disciple9 points10 points11 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m so happy reading this comment. And I REALLY hope you are right about the big shift, and how it’s too big to stop now!!!

One thing I disagree with, men have changed a lot in the last 10-20 years too. Porn use has caused hypofrontality in many of them, making them dumber literally and lacking impulse control and reason similar to a zombie like state with porn, video games etc. this is why many men are failing in school, at work, and some are being sent to prison for pedophilia in higher numbers than ever before.

For the science that backs up these claims on hypofrontality check out the pinned post on our sister sub on r/PornFreeRelationships

[–]AdawritesrulesFDS Disciple7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Omg you’re the third person commenting on the “shift” and I think I just orgasmed lol! Please spread the word irl when you can too!!!!

We need this shift, it’s been a long time coming.

Also if you haven’t joined our sister sub, also join r/PornFreeRelationships for the “shift” in porn use too.

[–][deleted] 37 points38 points39 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You are absolutely right. It IS global. Even in the Middle East, women are just choosing to stay unmarried or are trying to find ways to leave their spouses. It's actually really amazing.

[–]DazzlingMolasses7FDS Newbie18 points19 points20 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It’s happening allover Asia too.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I heard about that with Korea!!

[–]123heatherfeatherFDS Newbie29 points30 points31 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We are most definitely better off being alone than dealing with that. If the shoe was on the other foot (if the wife was the one who was impregnated by another man) you better believe that every guy would be telling the husband to leave.

[–]riseaboveagainFDS Apprentice50 points51 points52 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Love it.

Sorry to say it, but one of the reasons I didn’t want to vote for Hilary was because she didn’t leave Bill after the Monica scandal. It infuriated me, and I hated the message she sent: Turn a blind eye and stand by your cheating husband. Um, NO

I’m so happy you said this! And I hope it’s true. We wanted to create a specific uprising on the porn issue directly in our sister sub r/PornFreeRelationships if you have any stories to share past or present, or if you even just want to support us please join and participate there too. It is the only radfem space on this issue alone and so many women there are struggling with the pain of going through this. Once out of there they will all become fellow FDSers 🤣

"I enjoyed our marriage, he messed it up"

I love her mindset. No apologizing, no regretting, just making the right decisions for herself as the information came to her.

This is whey we don’t take relationship advice from men. Here is the link to the tweet and all the men replying to her are saying “WHaT ABouT TiLl dEAth dO uS ParT” as if this woman’s husband did not just cheat and impregnate someone else. They’re crying “that’s why marriages don’t last like the old days” because they know men back in the day could do anything and women couldn’t leave. If you listen to what men say they will admit they want you to endure abuse. Never take advice from men.

[–][deleted] 58 points59 points60 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yet if you swap the genders they would crucify her 🙄

[–]Jay-quellenPickmeisha™️30 points31 points32 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This one guy in the comments is trying to argue that “breaking your vows is a part of for better or for worse” and that “for some people marriage is not just a contract and part of better or worse is infidelity.” Umm...what.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Guys in the replies of the tweet saying “what’s ab till death do us part” 🥱🤮and the worst part about the replies is that a pick me said “Nah y’all just ain’t like the old times where forgiveness was key... that’s why marriages nowadays go to shit 🤷‍♀️” as if women weren’t degraded in old times? She’s mad cause we know our worth now and won’t settle for less.

[–]idiosyncrassyPickmeisha™️132 points133 points134 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

It came right after "Forsaking all others," so...not sure what that guy is trying to argue.

[–]myousernameFDS Disciple96 points97 points98 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. He already broke his vows. She is no longer obligated to hold up her end of the agreement.

Imagine this type of attitude in literally any other type of contract:

Boss stops paying you, are you obligated to keep working?

Employee stops showing up to work, is the employer obligated to continue paying them?

Country A betrays their military alliance with Country B. Is B obligated to continue supporting A, the traitor?

[–][deleted] 116 points117 points118 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

My family has adopted an old lady who's like my grandma. She says "back in the day" was shit. Domestic violence was rampant and men could rape their wives with impunity. She said when she was growing up, her mom's kitchen was like a way station for all the women in the neighborhood who'd come crying to her mother after their husbands beat them. Her dad was a good guy and never touched her mom, so she personally didn't deal with this, but she knew what other women dealt with. Her first husband hit her one time and was shocked when she immediately dipped out. Her dad confronted the guy and said if the husband came looking for her, the dad would end him. Her second husband was a good dude and they've now been married 40 years.

"Old times" were bullshit. At least nowadays women have legal protection and access to jobs so we don't have to stay when we're abused.

[–]PellucidlyNebulousFDS Newbie62 points63 points64 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Seriously! Who wants to go back to the years when women were thought so little of that we couldn't even open a credit card or bank account in our own name?

[–]ny-ladyFDS Apprentice28 points29 points30 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No way, its all lies, it was blissful, all marriages were perfect and now feminism has rUiNeD the perfect 1950's marriages. Those women loved their old abusive husbands and loved having 5 kids with him trapped because he was 'the provider'.

[–]AdawritesrulesFDS Disciple7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Who WOULDN'T want 5 kids though if it’s the other partner taking care of ALL the work required for FREE their whole lives???

I would likely a link to it and the comments, though honestly I am a little afraid of what I am going to find.I am so happy to finally learn about a woman that did as she should and dumped her cheating SO. What the hell should she stay for? So he could cheat again? Or so she would end up paying for child support for the children of her husband's sidechicks? Not to mention that in the vows people promise to 'forsake all others'. Her husband broke his vows to be faithful and so her own vows should be null and void. I au so happy she didn't make that mistake to stay

Forgive him. They just slipped and fell in each others parts and accidentally had sex. I fell, it was 'a mistake', forgive me honey bun.

Cheating is a choice and has consequences. The trust is now gone and no going back. Even those that stay, its still always there in some way and its changed you/the relationship forever.

Anyone that participates in cheating sucks. You have sex with a man you know is taken, you suck as much as he does.

You find out hes taken because he lied and you still keep having sex with him, you suck.

You find out, you tell him to kick rocks and never look back. Dont do to others you would not want done to yourself.

[–]BovvsetteFDS Disciple7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This can't be said enough. Cheaters don't deserve a second chance. Not ever. It's a conscious choice, not a ”oops my mistake, we somehow accidentally met up, got naked and slipped into each other”. If they were more interested in someone else, they should call off the current relationship, if they can't do that and value it too much, then don't cheat in the first place! Truth always comes out. And cheaters always cheat, if you are smug about sleeping with a taken man, and ”winning him over”, don't worry, he will cheat on you too one day.

[–]ny-ladyFDS Apprentice5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

he will cheat on you too one day.

Yup, it will end just like it started. Thats how karma works.

They’re all saying “till death do us part” because they know they’d straight up murder their hypothetical wife if she got pregnant by another man

Honestly, you got to question what is wrong with millennials and generation Z. Personally, I met more reasonable generation Z people or guys. Compare to Millennial men they sane, for some reason millennial are bonkers with their bullshit. I'm so glad more women are waking up and realizing marriage is not the endgame for our lives anymore. I do want marriage and a family but with a HVM. But men take forever now to decide to get married I might as well live my 20s out because these fools don't want to take a relationship seriously. Also, F these guys these are the same guys that pick out women who are vulnerable and loyal so they can chain her to them for a very long time. Ladies don't fall for this shit the minute a man cheats on me the attractive and love for him is gone period!

I didn't get that part either. Maybe the person he impregnated was under 18?
