Recently met and instantly connected with a great guy (approx 2 months ago now) Everything was great at first but now rose colored glasses have come off and I realized there’s some issues I need to keep an eye on. In general it takes so much emotional energy to be continuously vetting a guy (definitely worth it) and because I tend to feel everything too intensely- he’s taking up a lot of mental space. We are semi long distance at the moment so primarily meet weekends or every other weekend and it feels a bit draining to keep the spark alive online. I realized today I’ve set my hobbies etc to the side and spend far too much time thinking about him. I miss going to bed clear headed and waking up clear headed and just focusing on my career and my goals. Wondering if having amazing chemistry with someone is worth losing part of myself (I’m very much a giver and a pleaser in romantic relationships but I also never settle and very picky so if someone is in my life they really have to bring something unique to the table ) Wondering if anyone here feels the same?
